Description

PUSH is about building muscle as fast as possible - with science. We achieve this with an AI built on published research. You don't have to take our word for it, you can tap the referenced articles throughout the app as you use it (just look for the yellow microscope).
- Our workouts are based on scientific research and your training data over time. There’s no secret, you can view exactly how everything works in the app and read the references for yourself.
- PUSH generates a program based on your experience, sleep, gender, stress and time available to train. We fine tune your volume, frequency, rep range and exercise selection based on published research relating to these factors.
- Exercises are selected based on resistance curve and rep range.
- Over time PUSH will periodise and progress your program. We use your data to give you actionable insights including daily undulating periodisation systems. Don’t know what that means? You can read our short form (referenced) articles, or don’t! PUSH manages everything automatically for you anyway to keep you gaining.
- Don’t like an exercise? PUSH will suggest the most similar exercises based on fatigue and resistance curve.
- Optimised gym workouts make your weight lifting routine as efficient as possible at the gym. Built to help you get bigger, stronger, and reach your fitness goals
- PUSH smart exercise planner schedules weightlifting exercises on a better schedule than common 5x5 routines. Whether you’re lifting with free weights, barbells or machines, the PUSH gym log and tracker is sure to exceed your muscle building hypertrophy.
- Wether you want to get more toned, lean, bulk or cut, PUSH will generate the most optimal possible program by today’s standards
HealthKit Integration
HealthKit integration is used to save your workouts from PUSH to your Health data, which can be viewed from the Health app on your device.
Metabolic rates and bodyweight are read to determine current bulking or cutting status.

PUSH Workout & Gym Tracker Reviews

buggy setup of sessions

Mads65 on

Denmark

Introduces “new excercises” that i have trained few days ago. recommends performing sessions of exactly same excercise twice in same sessions. Was ok at setting initial programme, but as months went by its suggestions bevare worse and worse, Will switch once manual subscription runs out in a month or so.

Absolutely brilliant!

No need to pay a personal trainer - PUSH has your back! Absolutely brilliant!

Buggy mess

Mads65 on

Denmark

Bought the in app subscription, and am quite happy With the program put together. Lots of alternative exercises so usually able to find one that my gym has equipment for. A great way of structuring my workouts, after many years of going to the gym, the plans have helped revitalize my training. 👍 The amount of minor bugs are getting annoying after few months, though. (Bugs are only reason for not giving 5 stars)

Great app but needs Apple Health integration

Too many glitches

I’ve had this app since it launched and have used it consistently since then. There are some good things about it - generating new exercises for you, the progressive overload stuff at first. But there has been really limited improvement in the past year - I have issues like: - suggesting a negative weight - suggesting a plateau breaker that triples the weight I can do and suggests more reps - throwing off really random reps and weight combos You also can’t generate a programme to avoid doing certain muscles which you used to be able to (e.g. if you have an injury this is useful). For the annual cost these things become really frustrating and I don’t think I will renew it.

Doesn’t let me select muscles

When I go to generate a plan, it says ‘select up to 2 muscles’ but there is no option or drop down to choose options of muscles to select. This doesn’t change if I edit my level of experience, or any of the other options in the plan, so I assume it is a bug. I have seen it working correctly on my friends phone who also uses the app I am using the latest version of the app and have an iPhone 13. Otherwise this is a great app, been using it for 5 weeks now and seeing great improvements, hitting PBs almost every session! I’ll bump the review to 5 stars if I get a response about the bug I raised!

Best Training app but a few minor suggestions

Great app, I’ve been using this consistently for 2 months now and seeing results. The progressive overload suggestions are so helpful. A couple of suggestions. The timer clock is awesome but it’s stuck to the bottom of the screen. Most machine have phone holder that block this space, would love the option to move the clock to fix this.

Don’t think I’ve actually been working out properly all these years. Now I’ve got PUSH I leave the gym feeling WORKED every time. Absolutely unreal bit of kit. Joey D is my hero

Great potential but not there yet

Joebxker on

United Kingdom

Great interface, no lag and easy to use. Bought years subscription to track my weights but don’t use the programming (I add my own program in). Unfortunately you can’t have different rep goals for each set of an exercise which is a shame which totally messes with the progression week on week as it doesn’t know where you’re failing etc. The exercise library with video example is also very limited. You can add your own exercises but then you don’t get proper progression or videos for form. I asked for a refund but unfortunately was denied even after an appeal. Was even speaking to app creator on instagram but he stopped replying when trying to resolve. I’m not using the app so £89 down the drain. Hopefully updates come out before the year is up.
