You can’t access fares or schedules to book flights. I’ve updated the app, updated my IPhone and still won’t work. There’s been numerous complaints online about this. It’s hard to imagine that QANTAS hasn’t fixed this issue as people can’t book flights.
Qantas has real problems when the app and the website yield a never ending loading widget. Back end is busted for days.
The app sends you to a faux browser when you need to actually do something instead of actually functioning as a self contained app such as those other airlines have Often denies that routes exist which Qantas actually flies (ie Melbourne - NYC) and the prices are ALWAYS always higher than can be found on other sites. You can’t fly to a city - you have to choose a specific airport. But like in London, NYC or others - multiple airports exist and every other site allows for searches to the city. Bad app, more generally out of date online setup.
Unable to book flights through the app after the update. Pathetic.
This app allowed me to do online check-in, however they still printed a boarding pass at the Qantas in-person bag drop so I didn’t see the point. Then my flight was delayed repeatedly and the app never sent me a single notification about it; I only found out through checking the airport Departures board. Since I had downloaded the app I also added a Qantas flight that I had already booked through their partnership with Emirates as part of a different multi-flight trip, but the code from Emirates wouldn’t allow me to pick a seat and order a special meal in the app. To do those things I had to go to the Qantas website, where I was able to easily use the same code to do them.
Searching reward redemptions is tedious. Unclear how this is rated so highly. Half of the written reviews are negative.
At first, I asked that I could accumulate the points of the passengers traveling with me to my account, but then the customer service said no, which was a bit funny. I wouldn't choose Qantas again.
Boarding pass disappeared from the app whilst I was travelling overseas. Highly inconvenient bug considering the cost of the flights. Do better.
Lol. An app that basically puts a web browser frame inside the app is probably the cheapest, nastiest experience you can deliver to a customer. Booking within the app is a tedious experience because of it. Awful. And this is the gold standard of Australian airlines.
Traveled to 30+ countries on 20 airlines with international travel luggage and Qantas made us check our bags 19lbs backpacks for being “too heavy”. Honestly, on of the most ridiculous restrictions I’ve seen. Won’t be flying with them unless I have no other option.
