RealityScan Reviews

I think its better than polycam?

Catwithlonghair on

Netherlands

Maybe polycam is better, but this app is very convenient. Very nice. This app also helps you more, and it is more precise i think.

Needs more functions

Ok so hear me out! I love your tool. scanning results are really really good. However i do miss a couple of usefull tools. Most of them around the orange photos. Could you add functions like deleting a photo in AR. Also can orange fotos be highlighted in selection/deletion menu. Could you number photos, also in AR. And i just hope that in the future we can use more photos. 200 is fine but not always enough. Final suggestion, possibly could the app/pointcloud indicate when areas are to dark/bright. Not just with red but maybe also with another color scheme. I know I ask a lot of a free app but I really love it (just check out my sketchfab/crowsepicscans). Keep up the good work.

Gratis met een prijs

Ireyon on

Erg veel tracking en advertenties voor een app die Epic misbruikt om gratis assets voor Unreal Engine te bemachtigen.

The remote record button on both of my selfie sticks doesn’t function with this app. Remote record button works fine with Camera app of iPhone, so…

11-9-24 Since the pandemic, I’ve been utilizing unreal engine for Film work. Imagine the Mandalorian workflow long story short I have utilize this app over the last week or so in order to find a better way to manipulate real world objects that are handmade to incorporate into background VFX. Questioning intellectual property rights for the people who use this. I find it strange as well that you have to link what you create to sketch fab taking the power control, and freedom away from the end User… Furthermore, it is very frustrating as a macOS user do not have support for editing and modifying files on my Mac PC. If unreal can work on a Mac why wouldn’t there be a variation of the editing software for RealityScan? Product should be universal in efforts to actually make sure that unreal and it’s third-party components are seamless across all home user landscapes. Lastly I find it sad that you cannot upload to fab directly because it’s still still trying to process your capture through sketch fab, which does not process and is always stuck at 1% upload!!! I enjoy unreal but this app is lacking the ability to actually do anything it claims if it’s just stuck in your phone because you don’t have a windows based computer… Two stars-

Make sure your data is backed up before you update

Gigantomachy on

United States

I updated the app to the current version. Doing so logged me out of the app. When I logged back in, all of my data in the app had disappeared. Epic Games has provided a pathetic and totally inadequate level of support. The raw files are still available in the File folder of my iPhone but I can’t work with anything in the app like I could before I updated. This is a good example of “if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.” I wish I hadn’t updated the app.

Can’t link account

Ferrari_wont_go on

Couldn’t tell you if the app is good because it just gets stuck in the link Epic Games account screen. No matter how many times I try to allow permission the app is just stuck on that screen.
