Is RealityScan free?
Yes, RealityScan is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is RealityScan legit?
⚠️ The RealityScan app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
Whoever designed the application frontend screwed their job totally. You have to perfectly stay on the screen and pray that the cloud connection doesn't get dropped. If you click any button, maybe even click on the one that transfers you to the captures list- your progress is lost. Cloud constantly drops, my captures were unsuccessful- some made it but only one was decent. No other export possibilities than uploading it to sketchfab and downloading it there. This needs much more work.
10 objects, 0 finished scans
I was trying to scan outdoor with good indirect lighting. Took 80-120 pictures per small object. Couldn’t align them anyway. I tried at home candle, box, pot - could not align photos also. Waisted a few hours with no single good scanned object
Don't bother
Total waste of time. 100 photos and it couldn't do what Polycam did with 20. Horrible workflow, UI keeps you guessing and overall just wastes your time. Complete and total let down.
Can’t get single good result
I was trying with different object types and scan without direct lighting, but the cloud keeps offsetting from my object after some time and the app says they couldn’t align. Revolution is not here. Don’t waste your time on this app.
It pretty good
It’s better than what it was before hand so Epic Games has been fixing the issues with app. I think this app has potential Epic just needs to focus on it.

Can’t even sign in to see the app, it locks up
I signed into my epic account, and it turned to a black screen with a rotating white loading wheel. First, I quit the app, then I reinstalled it, and to my amazement. As soon as I opened, it, goes straight back to the same black screen with a white loading wheel. I haven’t even seen anything inside the app yet.

I can’t even login
Every time i try to open the app it asks me to login. When i try to logon with my epic account it launches a webpage and then i don’t see any username/password panel. Then it closes and go back to the opening page and ask to login again. I can’t even search for this problem online because it is very weird.
Easy and convenient!
Free app that provided solid results. It was pretty easy to use — even my parents were able to learn it :)
