Rec'n'Share allows you to record audio and video along with songs from your music library and then share your performances with the world.
It digitally enhances the way you practice, record and perform music.

Produce high-quality performance videos easily.
Connect a compatible Yamaha instrument to your smart phone/tablet (*1) to simultaneously record video from your phone’s camera, stereo digital audio from your Yamaha product and stereo backing tracks from your music library (*2) (*3).
After recording, use the app’s editing functions to trim and balance the tracks.

Enrich your practice.
Pick a song from your music library and the app’s tempo detection lets you add a click, change the tempo and select sections to repeat. It’s practice made perfect.

DEAD APP

after iOS update. It stopped working, won’t start.

Nightmare of an app.

There is absolutely nothing easy or convenient about this app. You’d think it would be simple to plug in and play, but nope. There are far too many hoops to jump through. They tried making the app compatible with 3rd party services but nothing seems to work ever. It may have been a great app when the EAD10 first dropped, but this has been a horrible and frustrating experience to use now.

Extraction option is spotty and glitchy

Downloaded newest update. Disappointed. App keeps glitching and shutting down. Extracting drums is spotty at best and changes pitch of other instruments.

Not working on Dtx8 drums

Great features, but when you try to record it says connect compatible Yamaha instrument…. Very disappointed

Desperately needs work.

Just got an EAD10. Unit is great, app is awful. So bad that I’m debating returning the unit. The idea behind the app is great, but lots of setbacks that make it incredibly hard to use. The main issue being how rough the beat detection is. The click never aligns to the song making it incredibly hard to record. Since this is the entire purpose of the app, it’s very disappointing. Apps like Moises should be a baseline for this kind of feature. There’s lot of issues with UI/UX as well, but my lord…fix the beat detection, or let users set a static bpm.

App No Longer Works

Worked great until I upgraded my phone. Now it says it’s not connected to a Yamaha instrument! WTH yes it is!

Great device if only they would fix some issues

Device was running well and was compatible with uploading to YouTube just up until a recent update. Now I can no longer upload my recorded performances to the YouTube app? YouTube app has disappeared and used to show up once finished recording and uploading the video clip from the Rec’n’Share app. I have tried reaching out to Yamaha and no response.

Truly Frustrating

This useless App makes the EAD 10 completely useless. Got this to record jam sessions and playback for practice…it worked at first, but now it NEVER connects. Fix this please!!!

Great promise if they fix a few issues

I bought the EAD 10 and extra Yamaha triggers because I love how it sounds. The app has intermittent issues. For example, I can’t get it to upload short clips to Instagram as a post. A real winner if they can sort it out. I am on a new iPhone 12 mini.

Makes me angry all the time

Can’t download my recorded songs, how can this app be named “rec’n’share” if you can’t share the stuff you record on it? It clearly needs an update.
