Rec'n'Share allows you to record audio and video along with songs from your music library and then share your performances with the world.
It digitally enhances the way you practice, record and perform music.

Produce high-quality performance videos easily.
Connect a compatible Yamaha instrument to your smart phone/tablet (*1) to simultaneously record video from your phone’s camera, stereo digital audio from your Yamaha product and stereo backing tracks from your music library (*2) (*3).
After recording, use the app’s editing functions to trim and balance the tracks.

Enrich your practice.
Pick a song from your music library and the app’s tempo detection lets you add a click, change the tempo and select sections to repeat. It’s practice made perfect.
The Audio Track Separation function, available in Version 3, allows you to adjust the volume of specific tracks (vocals, drums, bass, etc.) of your favorite songs.

Not compatible with iOS 16

The app simply does not work with the latest iOS. The audio slows too much to be recognisable. Probably Apple’s fault, but Yamaha need to get on this pronto.

Bummed I could only give it a 3

Pretty revolutionary. I downloaded tracks to play along too. I had a huge setup to record my videos and the only thing that let me down was the app. Sometimes recording bars out of time to the song. Blanking out audio while still recording. I think it’s a great idea and it has done me well but it’s been me who had to make it work. Restarting the app. My phone. Connections. Multiple takes. If I could rely on it it would be incredibly useful. But it just endlessly fails on me when I need it. BUT..... it’s the first of its kind. So hopefully the next will be wonderful. The thing that angers most people is paying for the EAD10 which is awesome. But the app needs to be too. I have faith

Sort it out!!

I’ve spent over £1500 on upgrading my kit to the 502 series. Only to find I can’t record any damn songs because this app just will not work with my iTunes. You really need to sort this out, Yamaha. This app was one of the reasons I went with this kit. People are constantly complaining about it yet you’re doing nothing to address the issues. Really poor effort.

So much promise - but then the app doesn’t work

Come on Yamaha. Fix the app. 90pct of the time the app does not recognise that the EAD10 is plugged in. And when it finally works, then the drum volume is way way too low. The £450 EAD10 is super cool but fundamentally needs this app to work for recording video. I think the EAD10 is going back to the dealer. Too bad.

Videos not saving to camera roll

The app is great but I’m not able to save my videos to my camera roll, it usually lets me do this but now there is no option to let me do it. Advice would be much appreciated

Misleading saying it supports playing to your music library

The app doesn’t support playing files that are in iCloud library, which is how most people will store their music, and also doesn’t support most file formats or protected music despite boasting Apple and iOS integration. The EAD10 is great piece of kit let down by this app.

Absolutely Unbelievable.

I spent £400 on an EAD10 and the app doesn’t even pair with Spotify or Apple Music (yep that’s right, the same app that the EAD10 actually supports.) So you have to buy the music to play it through the app. What a con. (Update) I got the app working by converting cd to Apple Music but half the time the app is crashing or the music cuts out half way through.

Not accessible with Voiceover!

I’m completely blind, and am considering purchasing the EAD10 system and was very excited about this app. Then I installed it and discovered it simply doesn’t work at all with Voiceover [Apple’s built in screen reader, designed to help blind people such as myself use the iPhone]. Very disappointed. Would very much appreciate an update to fix this.

Frustratingly UI

Doesn’t want to play anything that isn’t mp3 or from local device so nothing from Apple Music - which I believe they sell the EAD10 product on.

Worked for a time

Worked brilliantly but now will not import from Dropbox - sort it out Yamaha.
