I don’t get as many notifications on my phone as I did with the other app our school used to use. And yes I have made sure everything is turned on and even had my school look to make sure.

We just got the notification of the switch from SmartFind Express to RedRover this week and the reviews are worrisome. First of all, Teachers should be REQUIRED to post WHAT they teach. “Connections” or “Specials” tell me it’s not a homeroom but doesn’t tell me what I’d be teaching!! If it’s a SPED IRR or Remedial assignment, is it Co-Taught? Do they push in every period? Is it Self Contained??? For the others, is it STEAM? Foreign Language? Art? Music? Computer Lab? Home-Ec??? Are they looking for just anybody with a pulse or someone that has a love for that subject? By the time I go to the school website to see what they actually need a sub for and get back to the app…guess what. That’s right. The job is gone. Not only has it wasted my time, but I wasn’t even given the opportunity to make an informed decision quickly and now that job is no longer available. Then there’s this…I have specific schools I’d prefer to work at but if nothing is available then I’ll consider others. Are my “favorites” at the top with the rest below or will I only be able to see favorites? Who did the focus group on this because I have concerns and sooooo many questions. Where is the rapid fire Q&A YouTube video? The FAQ page with a actual list of questions from Subs? The “lives” on TikTok to build a community and support the users??? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Let’s go, RR…jeez. As a full time sub that (Praise The Lamb) is loved by the kids I teach, do you know the horror stories I hear about Subs? Not only from the kids but other subs and teachers as well. So, with that said, you’ve got this fancy little app and everybody’s undivided attention with the school year about to start. Do a survey. Put it on your bulletin board, throw some questions out there and see what sticks because I don’t care who or what you are, there is always room for improvement. I will say this though, Smartfind Express had a great feature of listing upcoming, finished and cancelled assignments and I L🥰VED it!!! BUT, it logged me out every stinkin time. EVERY. TIME!! I had to jump through more hoops to get into that app than I do my bank account so thank you from the bottom of my heart for that. Ok. I’m done now. Get crackalackin on that survey!!!! The clocks-a-tickin!!! 😜

Straightforward and easy to use!

Why do you guys keep changing it like we carry a tablet or lab top we’re just janitors it terrible for people have to use a phone to move all this around

Like the app when I could use it. Now I can’t even log in. I try and it takes me right back to the login screen every time.

great when I can get into it. Have had problems 2 out of the three absences I’ve had.

Not enough info given when function doesn’t work. Mobile app doesn’t work with larger text setting.

If you live in an area with competitive subbing this app has one major flaw: it does not update in real time! So if you are looking at the assignment list and there are 3 jobs listed but you get a notification for a new job, that job will not show up on the list unless you close out the app and reopen. The same is true if you look at the list then go to another app or put phone on sleep mode then go back- the app does not refresh or have a manual refresh feature- you must close the app by swiping up, then reopen to see anything new- no real time refresh. You will waste a lot of time seeing updated job list. Swipe out, reopen. Swipe out, reopen. It would be really easy to add a refresh feature, and hard to believe they haven’t done this yet.

I have not been allowed to upload my subnotes for a guest teacher for sometime while using Red Rover. I have to wait until someone acknowledges this sub request via email and then send the sub notes to that individual personally. On the Red Rover account it looks as if subnotes can be attached, howeverafter doing so the highlighted button to send or submit such notes remains lit and unavailable

Love the ease of this app! Makes missing school a little less stressful
