Make sure to pair your paper tablet with an account at my.remarkable.com before logging in to the app. Find login details for both in Account settings on the paper tablet.
Get organized:
Use the app to get an overview of your content, with tags and favorite documents. Create folders for collecting notebooks and files by topic.
Save one for each project, or separate work and personal notes. This will help you find and arrange the content stored on your paper tablet with Search.
You can also remove clutter by deleting any digital paper that has piled up.

Cannot sync
I can’t sync my files anymore. I thought I can log out and log back in, not there are no files. Keep getting “Network failure: 0”
Don’t expect any help or support
Bought the device and signed up for a monthly plan. It is definitely not as simple as paper, as your files can freeze and then the conversion to text button disappears. After hours of searching the FAQs and tutorials (which are pretty useless if your buttons have disappeared), tried to get in contact or support. And that just does not exist. It throws you back into FAQs and topics that are not relevant. Major disappointment.
The app is useless as it never syncs
You have to delete app and reload app to get it to work and then only occasionally
Disappointing
I love my ReMarkable, that I use daily for work and personal purposes. It has helped me to go paperless. The app, however, is almost unusable. Fortunately, I rarely need to use it. But when I do, it fails to sync on the first launch. Works on the second launch but takes so long that I usually give up before the relevant note has synced.
Never syncs
Always “unable to sync” despite having the latest version of the app and firmware, and connected to wifi or with sufficient mobile data coverage. Frustrating!
Needs an overhaul
The app is ok but it really does need a serious overhaul Background syncing of all data should be optional. Having to wait 5-10 mins to have data synced when opening the app is not ideal. The app needs to also be able to use custom templates.
Doesn’t work at all
Unfortunately this doesn’t sync from tablet to iPhone app. This defeats the purpose of the app. Hopefully the developers will “pull finger” and address the issue as it appears it’s been over a year.
Works well, syncs well, great companion app
The Remarkable2 is a fantastic tablet for concentrating on work - no distractions like I have on my iPad. Sync works well, not sure what the other reviewers are complaining about - maybe an old version?
Pretty much useless at the moment
Hasn’t been able to sync for about 3 months and so pretty useless at this point. Would like to be able to view my notes from my phone, that was the point of me getting the RM!
