Description

The Securus Mobile app now requires iOS 14 or higher. Please update to the latest version.
The app provides the following features to easily setup and manage our incarcerated connection services:
• Create a Securus Online account (required for app and website access)
• Change password and 4 digit PIN
• Setup security questions for easy password reset
Video Connect®
• Enroll in Video Connect, schedule a video session with an incarcerated individual remotely from anywhere in the world where you have Wi-Fi or cellular data service at all Securus sites that offer Video Connect.
• Access and view your upcoming scheduled video sessions
• Sync details of upcoming video sessions with your calendar
• Receive notifications for upcoming video sessions
• Manage photos for identification, view transaction history and manage credit/debit cards
• Test Wi-Fi/cellular connection to determine quality of Video Connect
*For best results and to reduce echo, use a headset or ear buds with microphone for Video Connect
Prepaid Calling Account Management for You
AdvanceConnect – fund this account to receive calls to the phone numbers you choose from your contact. You can:
• Enroll and add funds to AdvanceConnect account to always be ready for a call
• See available funds
• Add or change phone numbers that can receive calls
• View call details and transaction summary
• View the last call attempt to a number
• Block or unblock calls
• Enroll in AutoPay or TextPay
• Update or change credit/debit card information
Securus Debit – deposit funds to this account for your contact to use for:
• Calling any number they choose
• Purchase music, games and movies for their tablet
• Schedule and pay for a Video Connect session
• Purchase stamps to send eMessages and eCards

• Sign up, purchase ‘stamps’
• Send and receive messages

• Multiple attachments – attach up to 5 eCards and photos to your message
• Transfer stamps to your contact or prepay for them to reply

Securus Text Connect - allows real-time two-way short message communication between you and an incarcerated individual using the Securus app.
• You purchase a package of ‘Connects’ at an incarcerated’s facility and begin sending text messages through the Securus app
• The incarcerated can reply using your Connects and you will receive an app notification of incoming texts
• You can setup an automatic re-purchase of your Connects package when your balance gets low (called Recharge)
• Connects are purchased on a per-facility basis and can be used to text only incarcerated individuals located at that facility
• Digital greeting cards, called ‘eCards’, can be sent to an incarcerated individual with a text message
• Low balance alerts via email can be setup by you to always have funds to continue text messaging

I get at least 10 error messages a day just trying to do simple things like open a message. You guys need to just give it back to JPay cause this is trash and irritating. I’d give zero stars if it was an option.

It’s not giving me full options of the departments of corrections for my state. On others app it shows, but when I try it gives me one option and I can’t even type in my own to search.

This has to be the worst app I have ever in my life used it. It is exorbitantly expensive and most of the time it doesn’t work. I am utterly disappointed because I cannot communicate with my family The way I need to. The other unfortunate thing is like prisoners in jail. I feel a prisoner to this app. I’ve given almost $1000 to this app and I can’t even use it. Horrible! Horrible! Horrible!

This company should be ashamed for the poor service they have a monopoly on. Automated phone system doesn’t recognize keypad input and hangs up mid call. No one is available to talk about customer service. Facility isn’t listed in app even though the automated message from the jail says to use this app. It’s unfair and cruel and downright frustrating that *this* is the best service we have to offer incarcerated individuals. Do better.

I’ve made an account successfully, then when I go to log in, it tells me my password is incorrect. So I clicked forgot password and tried all over again. When I log in, it’s still telling me my password is incorrect.

It was a mission to put host and Securus together and then on top of that you call for costumer service is another process to get to speak to one and then they have a attitude the people they have working !!! Bad app needs more improvement

No notifications

It is 2024. This is by far the worst thrown together app I’ve used. No notifications come through for new emails. Turned everything on, but nothing. No way to delete contacts, told to call to do it. Then customer service can’t even remove them. Need to add the ability to delete sent emessages from the sent box. I have to go online to the website to do this. We pay entirely too much money to this company to have such garbage service and a non working app with less than bare bones features. These things should be accessible and available by default.

Texts and calls are a hassle

Not the greatest app. I am able to text message with my loved one but for some reason, Securus texts on iPhone don’t have a notification found along with the pop up. I know Samsung and other phones get a little chime every time they receive texts, and iPhone doesn’t for some reason. I’ve tried everything and have been unsuccessful. I have to constantly watch my phone to see if I’ve received a text. Same goes for email. The only reason I know I got an email is because my gmail app chimes. Once again, no chime from Securus. I wish they’d fix this. And for some reason my loved one has been struggling with sending out texts. Securus isn’t pushing them out for hours. It just shows “pending” on his side which it’s never done before until Securus made their last update. Also, I have money on my account for calls, but whenever I receive a call, for some reason it tells me I don’t have enough money to accept the call… Even though I know 100% that I do… And on top of it, the fees for adding money to your account for calls, texts, or emails are insane. I also wish they’d fix the constant “technical difficulties” they’re always having. And another cool improvement would be to show a string of an email. If my inmates writes me, I should be able to reply and see his original email - If he replies, I would like to see a history of our emails in one thread so I can scroll within the same email and read what the previous email said without having to leave my email, go back to my inbox, re-read my loved one’s email, then go back and create a new email again. It’s such a hassle. I used CorrLinks before and had such an easier time with emails. I would 100% use CorrLinks email over Securus.
