The Securus Mobile app now requires iOS 15 or higher. Please update to the latest version.
The app provides the following features to easily setup and manage our incarcerated connection services:
• Create a Securus Online account (required for app and website access)
• Change password and 4 digit PIN
• Setup security questions for easy password reset
Video Connect®
• Enroll in Video Connect, schedule a video session with an incarcerated individual remotely from anywhere in the world where you have Wi-Fi or cellular data service at all Securus sites that offer Video Connect.
• Access and view your upcoming scheduled video sessions
• Sync details of upcoming video sessions with your calendar
• Receive notifications for upcoming video sessions
• Manage photos for identification, view transaction history and manage credit/debit cards
• Test Wi-Fi/cellular connection to determine quality of Video Connect
*For best results and to reduce echo, use a headset or ear buds with microphone for Video Connect
Prepaid Calling Account Management for You
AdvanceConnect – fund this account to receive calls to the phone numbers you choose from your contact. You can:
• Enroll and add funds to AdvanceConnect account to always be ready for a call
• See available funds
• Add or change phone numbers that can receive calls
• View call details and transaction summary
• View the last call attempt to a number
• Block or unblock calls
• Enroll in AutoPay or TextPay
• Update or change credit/debit card information
Securus Debit – deposit funds to this account for your contact to use for:
• Purchase music, games and movies for their tablet
• Purchase stamps to send eMessages and eCards

• Sign up, purchase ‘stamps’

• Transfer stamps to your contact or prepay for them to reply

Securus Text Connect - allows real-time two-way short message communication between you and an incarcerated individual using the Securus app.
• You purchase a package of ‘Connects’ at an incarcerated’s facility and begin sending text messages through the Securus app
• The incarcerated can reply using your Connects and you will receive an app notification of incoming texts
• You can setup an automatic re-purchase of your Connects package when your balance gets low (called Recharge)
• Connects are purchased on a per-facility basis and can be used to text only incarcerated individuals located at that facility
• Digital greeting cards, called ‘eCards’, can be sent to an incarcerated individual with a text message
• Low balance alerts via email can be setup by you to always have funds to continue text messaging

This app was designed by a monkey. Nothing is clear, no instruction or way to tell what you are signing up for. And the online assistance is implement useless. They clearly are designed to take your money and not give it back when you dispute it.

Can’t accept calls and they are saying the ticket can take 30-60 days

I have a loved one currently incarcerated and has been trying to call me for days . The calls comes through I answer press 1 when it tells me yet it doesn’t recognize that pressed 1 to accept the call and these people gave me the run around 3 times to come back and tell me that this happens from time to time and sometimes it’ll correct itself other times they can try to fix the problem. They told me that the ticket will take 30-60 days to resolve and yet it may not resolve . So I guess I’m not supposed to be able to communicate with my loved one . They’re no help and it’s ridiculous that I could have to wait 30-60 days and they still may not be able to correct the issue

I been tryna use it for the first time I already have the account and it’s not letting me use the messages or log in I been sending mails so someone can help me to log in but I can’t my people sending me messages and I can’t opened the app

I’ve tried multiple times over multiple days using multiple credit cards to add “text connect” points. Every single time, there is a “network error”. I haven’t seen suspicious charges show up on my cards (yet) but this seems exactly like what scammers do, so I’m rightfully worried. I’m using iPhone 8 on the latest iOS for it (16.7.10) so I’m sure it’s not an issue on my side. This app simply does not work.

Phone calls rarely work and take repeated calls (5 or more) before you receive the call. Update: Now I can’t accept the charges. The service gets worse everybody. Truly, a bunch of idiots working at this company. Another Update: I have perfect reception and the phone calls are not received. Truly, a bunch of idiots working at this company. Yet Another Update: Cannot even log in. Truly, a bunch of idiots working at this company. And Yet Another Update: Call just ends after 15 minutes. No message, just ends. Truly, a bunch of idiots working at this company.

No notifications

If I could give zero stars, I would. It is 2024. This is by far the worst thrown together app I’ve used. No notifications come through for new emails. Turned everything on, but nothing. No way to delete contacts, told to call to do it. Then customer service (IF you can even speak to an actual person after jumping through hoops) can’t even remove them. Need to add the ability to delete sent emessages from the sent box. I have to go online to the website to do this. We pay entirely too much money to this company to have such garbage service and a non working app with less than bare bones features. These things should be accessible and available by default. What exactly does this company do with the billions that they make off of us?

Never get connected to my loved one. And Securus plays the blame game on Verizon. Verizon has checked my service and they can prove that Securus phone calls never make it to Verizon! This is a Bulls..t company. I hope someone files a class action suit against them as there are multiple inmates that can’t reach their loved ones either. Just my opinion and thoughts!
