I bought a Shelly 3EM and installed the current clamps around the wrong way so it looked like I was generating power instead of consuming it. I tried to erase the energy data from the device’s web GUI but it did not work. I tried to factory reset the device, which did not clear the energy data either. Then I tried to factory reset the device and delete the room it was associated with in the Shelly cloud, which completely broke my installation. Now every time I tried to reset and reinstall the device it would attempt to add it back to the same room which no longer existed (because this information obviously exists only in your cloud account and not in the device, so resetting it makes no difference), making it impossible to view the device any longer. The only “solution” was to delete my cloud account and also factory reset the 3EM and recreate the account from scratch and reinstall the device again.

I bought 10 devices to start with and had them all running on my Wi-Fi within 30 minutes. Provisioning was easy, firmware updates, settings and scheduling worked all on the first try. Easy to use, remote access to your house by default and a stable solution without any “bridge”. Home connected and have been reporting stable for some weeks now, zero issues. Shelly is definitely the best solution for smart homes on the market right now, and I have tried all of them in several generations. Nothing comes close to Shelly in long term performance. Forget Philips Hue, where you can’t have more than 70-80 units until things get problematic. Telldus (or whatever they are called this time around), fibaro, plejd all have issues with unresponsive units drifting in and out of your network and stop responding. But not Shelly, maybe because of the decision to go with Wi-Fi. Who knows, they work anyway. I must point out, this is not for the beginner (requires more than basic knowledge in home automation and IoT) and does not work with Apple Home as far as I know. But after throwing away Apple Home products for hundreds of dollars from Fibaro and others, I can’t recommend the unstable Apple Home ecosystem to anyone. And all the bad reviews?? Probably fake reviews from competitors?! The app works fine and can of course be improved in many ways, but more importantly - the hardware works great!

When I great a group for several devices to control them in the same moment, but after closing the application and start agent the group is disappear! Please fix this!!

Impossible to update the firmware from the Ios app. Endless loop. Wen UI tells me the firmware is up-to-date but it's not. Can't manually flash any firmware.

Very annoying! Can’t access rooms in the app. It doesn’t open. Nothing works since last update.
