Nicht mehr zu gebrauchen

Bis zum letzten update alles cool. Jetzt sind alle Projekte weg, die Exporte lassen sich nicht mehr öffnen und neue Projekte auch nicht mehr erstellen.

Good tool … in theory

I’ll keep it short: Shotlister has all the features I want it to have and I could totally imagine using it on every job IF… … it wasn’t so buggy and the collaboration worked properly. Right now the only way to safely use this tool is in an offline, single device workflow as collaboration is deeply flawed and frustrating to use. Here is how I would like this tool to work: The AD starts a project and imports the script. Then he invites the Director and maybe the DP. The Director starts adding shots to the Scenes. The DP adds technical info to the shots. In the meantime the AD can already work on the schedule and everyone sees updates to shots and info in realtime. Unfortunately: The is not how Shotlister works. There can always be only one version on the server which means that multiple persons working on the same project at the same time will almost definitely cause versioning issues and loose data every time they download the most recent version. This is very frustrating and I lost data several times trying Shotlister on my most recent job. To sum it up: it’s a cool tool but pretty much useless on a pro level as long as reliable REAL-TIME colab is not integrated.

Great, but needs work on the shoot day/calendar

Wonderful app, and does 90% of what I need it do to. Main problem is with the Shoot Day page / Calendar. It only allows to have an entire day as a shoot, you can’t add multiple shoots on one day. e.g. Sometimes we’re not shooting from 7AM until 7PM, but we’re shooting from 7AM until 1PM and there is a big break, waiting for the light or whatever the reason might be, then it resumes from 4PM until 10PM, so I need the ability to add multiple shoots on one day, where it can be very clear that we have a break that lasts multiple hours. Other than that, amazing app, can’t recommend it enough.

Needs Updates Desperately

A subscription model is used. HOWEVER it feels like the app hasn’t been properly updated in ages. If u don’t work on improving the App, don’t ask for a subscription. UX needs improvements if u wanna keep asking for 10€ an monthy One of many small but annoying problems is cloud sync. Why is Synchronisation not LIVE??? Currently it can happen quickly that crucial changes are overwritten by a team member.

Great! One Feature request

Please add a function to connect your app with the iCloud calendar. A new shotlister calendar would be helpful to organize my week ;)

Good Idea, not perfect yet

The iOS version is well done and helps a lot on set. Especially the live-mode is great for ADs or DoPs who want to keep a tight schedule. It’s great how you can simply edit the timing of shots and breaks. But I personally think the price is too high for what you get: - CrewSync is a nice thing to have, but what is completely missing yet is some kind of an iCloud-integration (or similar). What if you design your Shotlist on the iPad or Mac and want to go on with it on the iPhone. You need to upload to crew sync? That could be done better these days I believe... - CSV-Import does not work on German-speaking machines.. - the Mac app is absolutely overpriced and not coded with care - it would be cool if you could add own shot columns such as Props. The SFX Colums does not really make sense, if you can only add a bomb icon but nothing more... - might be really cool if you could see the shotlist in a web app I’m excited about future updates. Some improvements have to be made till this software is worth it’s price.

Perfekt

Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Praktisches Design und sehr gut durchdacht. Fördert somit also sehr die Produktivität am Set! Auch die Crew-Sync Optionen sind super praktisch am Set. Auf jeden Fall das Geld wert!

Eigentlich gut

Leider ist die Funktion der Storyboard-Darstellung nur im Rahmen des Jahresabos zu haben. Da auf den Bildern damit geworben wird, habe ich zugeschlagen. Kein Hinweis darauf das diese essentielle Funktion nur im Abo enthalten ist... Sehr schade. Der Preis ist für eine aufs Set optimierte Notizapp sowieso ziemlich stramm, das selbe nochmal für ein Abo zu verlangen finde ich unangemessen.

Really cool...

...but I need a column in the Shotmanager for Props!!!! Where can I sheduling some Props? I think this is very important!! But all in all it's an awesome App :)
