Achievable goals
I’ve been using Shreddy for a year. It really eased me back into lifting postpartum and gave me the structure I needed. The programmes are laid out clearly, they’re of a measurable length so it doesn’t seem like a daunting task when you embark on your fitness plan. I’ve done two cycles of the strength program now and I’ve seen huge gains in terms of the weight I can lift which I didn’t think was possible without a 1-2-1 coach. The only thing I wish the app had was a note section for your workout that day so if you’re coming back from illness/injury or period/pms and you’re not lifting the same weights you can make note so when you look back you can be like oh ok here’s why I was lifting less this week etc. overall though superb app. ❤️
Love it but updates have not worked
Have been using shreddy for a year and always love the workouts, but the newest update doesn’t work. It’s not saving any of my workouts that I do and has lost a years worth of workouts from before the update. I also updated my subscription to a year long one and none of the special offers worked.
Love the app but the bugs this time round are real bad
Great but buggy
I’ve had this app since it released and I find all the workouts great but the app just seems to always have issues with crashing or some elements not working at all. It’s a shame because I really do love the app and think it’s great for structuring workouts but I wish these issues that have been around since the app was released would be resolved.
Workout Flexibility for Menstrual Cycle Planning
The calendar is so intuitive to use and fun to customise my workouts. The Balance plans are my fave combining Pilates, HIIT & yoga. I workout according to my menstrual cycle so I can easily add more high energy Transform workouts during my first two weeks, and focus on technical workouts & recovery during the second half of my cycle. This kind of customisation makes it easier for me to stay active more consistently; I’m now able to work out 4-5 days a week instead of just 2 or 3!
User journey needs work
I’ve downloaded this in a bid to have a quick and easy guide to the gym. However, personally I just find the user journey is in disarray. I feel like there’s no flow to the app and I have spend time going through it to get the workout I want.
Overall Not Great
Aesthetics and visuals completely hit the mark. Layout is intuitive and mostly user friendly. However, app has multiple glitches that are clearly bugs that need addressing. Moving your workout to a different day, even if you’ve completed it, marks it as incomplete. My 8 week challenge has for some reason all switched to ‘Home’ despite me using ‘Gym’. App will randomly quit mid workout and if you have changed a set within your workout e.g. squats to RDLs, it will still show as squats and you will have to manually change it when you re-enter. Challenge workouts and hours don’t save to your profile, only recently do reps. Customising your week and choosing a different workout often leaves an extra rep in each set of the workout marked as ‘0’, with no option to add or remove a set. Challenge also starts on a Tuesday, not a Monday which is off putting. Not many machine friendly workouts available, just leg press really, mostly focused on free weights.
I had this app before, wasn’t a huge fan but came back to it to do the 8 week challenge. Personally won’t be renewing my subscription afterwards as I think the app needs a good bit of work to be less buggy. Huge fan of Shreddy as a company and what they are trying to create in the fitness industry but will continue making my own workouts rather than using this app. The challenge was great for making me feel answerable to something.
Glitchy
Overall I do really like this app, I like the structure of the plans and guides and the meal plans is a cool feature. However I find the countdown sound doesn’t play 1 in every 5 workouts, which means I have to keep looking at my phone to see when the timer has ended. Also, it skips the last cool down exercise every single time. I also think more angles could be shown of each exercise to better demonstrate correct form.
Really disappointed
I had this app in January this year and loved it. I had it for about 4/5 months and then stopped my subscription for summer. About two weeks ago I downloaded it again and opted for the yearly payment since I loved it so much the first time. However it is not the same. The timers do not work for any of the exercises and it keeps starting my weeks on Thursdays (even though I chose the plan on a Monday specifically so it would start my weeks on mondays). The videos don’t work for a lot of the exercises also (it’s not my wifi or internet) please fix it because I have already paid for the year and I loved shreddy so much!
Great idea, bad execution - please fix the bugs!
Love this app and the ideas behind it but there are often bugs! Currently the customize your week feature isn’t working.
Also when are you going to bring back going through gym workouts yourself without the rest timers? I hate the beeping constantly and it’s so annoying when you have to set up equipment or wait for someone to be done, also it uses so much data.
