used the machine perfect for a few days now not cutting from bluetooth at all , bought this to have in my workshop away from computer excess , now have to buy a laptop to get this working , should have stayed with the cameo 4 a much better machine , this app is aimless if you can not cut from it
More features have been added but it keeps freezing so it’s pointless trying to use it.
I’ve been using the Silhouette Go app with my Cameo 4 for the last 5 months and found it an excellent way to work in my workshop as I can run cuts from my phone. Since the latest version (1.1.052) the app is appalling. It has to reconnect to the Cameo every time I send a job, which could be 20-30 times a day, and often won’t connect until I turn Bluetooth off/on again on the Cameo itself. The UX is now terrible, the settings for the cutting tool being used don’t store, even on a custom setup, and sending the cuts now gives three choices to select the lines to use, none of which actually cut the lines correctly seeing as “outline” randomly adds additional lines? It’s seriously frustrating to have a tool like the Cameo 4, that’s become invaluable in my workshop, being hobbled by the awful app release.
When I first started using GO it worked great for quick makes and stickers but now I seam to have lost my file thumbnails and it’s extremely frustrating having to go through my files one by one to find what I’m looking for. Silhouette GO is not fun anymore and I have tried to find a solution online but have found nothing to fix it.
Why, in this day and age, you don’t have an app that can be used to design straight from an iPad Pro is anyone’s guess. The desktop app is brilliant… this is pretty much useless. Disappointed to say the least
Doesn’t cut. Feeds the mat through as if it’s going to cut your design but doesn’t cut.
I create my designs on my pc and use the app to go to my workstation to cut when opening the design on my app it is all jumbled up and not how I saved it on the computer now I have to pay more money out just to buy a laptop or Mac just so I can use my cutter ridiculous.
It’s shame as this app is really slow and glitchy on the iPad Pro. There is no way to sort your designs and have easy access to them. Can’t even sort them in to last uploaded. The App is something that you would expect in the mid 1990’s. In this day and age it is slow and outdated. Really disappointed. Only slightly better on the MacBook in that you can sort in to folders but it is still really slow and you have to move one at a time.😩
A long way from the brilliant desktop version… not able to design from scratch on the iPad… disappointed.
Limited uses, probably better staying with using a laptop or pc rather than trying this app! I obviously don’t expect it to have all of the features but some basic ones would be nice.
