My experience over 2 years. Unreliable and very slow connection every evening. Fast during early hours. This was a terrible week. Friday the connection stopped , no data for any smart user all of Saturday, through to Sunday late afternoon. No warning, no apologies from SMART. The app has stopped showing the data I have left and all my points are back to zero (update: points are hidden not removed). I’m somewhat unhappy with SMART. The recent app update did mot fix the issue of my remaining data not showing. I choose “check usage” then an error screen appears.
The only way I can check my remaining data is by calling the support line. Please fix the app.
Thank you for your response here. I have earlier in the year phoned support and gave my number and location. There hasn’t been any improvements in service in the evenings. I believe there is some capping in the evenings while office hours tend to be fine. This has been a consistent pattern. Maybe usage is higher in the evenings which then creates a bottleneck for users such as myself.
Good luck with the future improvements. I’m sure Smart will modernize its infrastructure in due course.

App won’t even load
I’ve been trying all morning to simply open the app to add more data - it won’t even get to the log in screen. I AM TRYING TO GIVE YOU MONEY, why make this difficult?
App doesn’t work
Absolutely rubbish app. We bought a SIM and were able to activate it and buy one plan, but when that plan ran out we couldn’t buy a new one or load any money onto it to buy more data! Kept saying “payment failed” even though we tried numerous times on two different phones - so there is obviously an issue with the app. Don’t waste your money and choose a different provider instead.
Sneaky untrustworthy company
They offer promo load, so I purchased a few thousand peso load for a discount. But it expires only after 60 days, so I wouldn’t be able to use all of the load. I contacted customer support, and they didn’t offer a refund.
Be careful, as they are scammers - don’t top up a lot, and if you do, read the fine print.

Very small fonts a few bugs noted
Sometimes very difficult to register a sim and I always get a bug when uploading files.
Font sizes are so small that even me on 20/20 find it very difficult to read the options or instructions. They should enable better font sizes for mobile use. Sometimes it begs the question as to whether they really intent to isolate older people or intend to confuse people. Mobile phone designer could do better with a bit of training on improving accessibility, as it makes perfect commercial sense and it reduce operational coat for support.

Just doesn’t work
First time logging in so I press “sign up”, it says that my phone number is already in use. So I try logging in normally using my phone number and it asks me to put in my password, I haven’t set a password obviously because it’s my first time logging in. Stupid app

Hello, can you please explain what is wrong with this app, all I get when trying to log in is the message “an error occurred please try later” or “ we are working hard to make Gigalife App available for this brand soon”.
My phone is iPhone 12 on Smart and this app worked before with no problems.
I have renewed the app numerous times to no avail.
When it does work I’ll upgrade the stars to 5!!
Need 2 numbers to sign up??
I bought the sim and have downloaded the app and I’m now trying to make an account. It’s asking me for a secondary number to send OTP’s to? I have come from the UK and I don’t have a second Filipino number to do this with. Surely there’s a way to sign up without having 2 numbers???
