First of all they stop doing the load cards so as you more or less have to use the app, then make it as difficult as possible to load a phone from the app particularly family etc. Back to Smart for me!
If you have bought this SIM card to travel the Philippines, I would highly recommend you get rid of it and use a different provider. Globe has been nothing but terrible. Their network connection is very spotty and often drops when other service providers don’t. Their app is literally useless. You aren’t able to top up and will have to do so manually at one of their stores. Their customer service is shocking. I had loaded up my SIM with 400 pesos to use over the month I was here and once my GOPLUS99 expired it started consuming my load even when I was only using wi-fi. They failed to mention this anywhere and drained my load completely. I am now stuck with a useless SIM in an area with no stores to manually top-up. I will have to buy a different SIM card to use while here. Save yourself the headache, just bin the SIM and look for a different one. I would recommend GOMO SIM. You top up once and it’s there for you to use throughout your trip.
How difficult can it be to speak to a Globe reporter and ask for help.. xx Answer- Impossible!
To be honest the app is very bloated with bunch of unnecessary options, should make it more simple than bunch of weird adds and whatnot, also adding load and buying promo is totally useless as it does not work, you have to go through oldschool messaging and typing certain codes to get the load in, we are in 2024 make it more simple please.
Cant even click help access button on top right corner, nor check out esim
I don’t understand the bad reviews. Either they fixed the problem or they are isolated cases. I originally had a 80GB plan for 30 days and I tried to extend it by 5 days for 50 PHP via the app and I paid by card, verified with my bank and then the payment went through! Very easy process. It does work! I was quite reluctant at first, but I’m very happy now. Thanks Globeteam!
This app updates far too regularly, can’t access without updating either.
The app will not let me pay. I have tried numerous times using my debit card to pay for a promo in the app but it will not go through. After confirming the payment in my banking app and being redirected, I am met with the message “We are having issues. Please try again later.” Payment will only go through rarely. I was successful going through the same process of buying a promo after nearly a whole day of repeatedly trying. This was meant to be an easy and convenient method of paying but instead has been frustrating.
Purchased Globe Sim for my phone and shortly after purchased a prepaid Gfiber modem. What a mistake and a waste of money. To Globe developer, a simple question for you and just tell the TRUTH in your reply, don’t ask me to contact your support. Here goes, What is your problem here with anyone using a VPN? This is becoming a pure copycat of China, North Korea & Vietnam? I can get 35 mbps when not connected to any of my VPN’s. I have tried 3 paid for major VPN’s which I have subscribed to for some year, but your download speed is 0.2 mbps or even less, sometimes as low as 0.03 mbps so I cannot download a short television program even in 360p. When your installation guys were here, the download speed using my VPN was about 31 mbps so only a small drop in speed which I expect. But now you throttle my VPN speed to unusable you are wasting your profits along with my time and money. I don’t need any story from you about my VPN being to blame it is clearly the Internet Provider, yes yourselves Globe. But you’re not alone other providers here try the same tricks. You are just like little children playing your silly little games, about time you lot wise up and provide a proper service. I won’t waste money on your service if 0.2 mbps is all I can get when using a VPN. The installation guy said that Globe like to control the internet so yeah that’s about right… Your modem is so useless it doesn’t even have any security to speak of. That will go straight where it belongs, in the TRASH BIN
