Total scam. Stay away from this awful business.

At the airport, I asked the young lady not to sell me a plan that would Sunset and that I would get charged roaming fees. She assured me that would not happen with my plan. Sure enough a few nights ago. I got a notice saying my data was down to 249 MB so I did what they said and topped off the data for $25 thinking this would last me three days or so.few hours later I got another message so I topped off again thinking that maybe the payment did not go through but then this morning at 4:10 AM I got another notice and paid it up with the supplied data top off and turns out that it is just to pay for roaming fees. This is a semi illegal business.I have never ever witnessed anything so fraudulent and get away getting away with it ever. Absolutely stay away from this company.

Does not work

I have four prepaid lines with Spark. For prepaid lines, the app is essential for topping up prepaid balances. However, for me at least, the app doesn’t work for this basic task. I’ve added lines and added multiple credit cards for payment - and still can’t top up. I’ve spent upwards of two hours in chat with Spark support and they can’t get it to work either. The app and system behind it are a great idea, but the execution leaves much to be desired.

Horrible

I purchased a $30 travel pack which advertised over 200 text messages as well as 1gb of data streaming and 200 minutes of voice. I am able to make calls and browse the web, but sending text messages is completely impossible. I contacted a representative who told me to power down my device and reinstall the card while it was powered down, which I had already done multiple times (and yes I powered it off completely, I didn’t just lock the home-screen). She then suggested I leave the SIM card out so she could run some diagnostics on the device, which makes no sense whatsoever but I did it anyway. I asked how she could solve the issue with my SIM remotely when it isn’t even connected to a device and she just told me to go ahead and reinstall the SIM again. Obviously, this fixed nothing. She told me to turn off try sending them as regular texts instead of iMessages. Of course I had already done this, as every iPhone user who’s iMessage has failed has done a million times. I also turned off MMS. Nothing worked. Only then did she think to pull up my account details and actually look at my plan. She noticed that my data was in fact being used and informed me that my messages were in fact going. According to her I could send and receive messages just fine, and I was simply confused. During this whole gaslighting fiasco, my sibling was sitting right beside me, sending text after text attesting that the opposite was true. Apparently all my sent texts displaying a clear red exclamation mark to their right and the text “not delivered” in red below are just figments of my imagination. The only data that I used that day was to communicate with her over the app and to troubleshoot in Safari on my own. My app clearly shows that I am at 250/250 remaining texts in my plan. I doubt she was hired to a tech center for a cell carrier not knowing that browsing the web uses data too. It was over an hours since she started “helping” me and it was very clear at this point that this was an issue she either couldn’t fix or didn’t care enough to fix. Clearly, this person was not going to solve my problem and I had just wasted hours of my vacation time. Tomorrow I have to return to the store I bought my SIM from to get what I paid for or to get my money back, which is the last thing anyone wants to do on their holiday. If you value your time or your blood pressure I recommend you find another carrier for your prepaid phone.

Do NOT use this app. Several times now I have topped up my plan and my money just disappears with no new data or texts. App is difficult to use and it’s hard to find what you’re looking for.

Useful only for paying Telecom...

Eli8 on

This app is great for tracking voice, text, and data usage. It will also very easily allow you to top-up. That's about it, though. Something else like an in-app "Telecom Wifi-Spot Locater" would be appreciated. This app should have move functionality than just paying for service and viewing usage...

Ruined App

Mitch454 on

All users want is an App to view their remaining data and usage, not your worthless ‘news’ and upcoming events. I understand you are trying to make money from selling our data and flooding us with advertisements that we don’t want, but how about you acknowledge we already pay for this service? Revert back to the old App, lay off staff that give stupid ideas such as these ‘updates to enhance our experience’, return to showing the data and nothing else.

What a mess

Overcharged every month on my pathetic wireless broadband plan. Promised it was fixed last month only to be cut off again. No competition in the countrysides! Hopeless lack of service.
