Messages are not sent
Messages from Apple Mail on MacOS (13.0.1) and iOS (16.1) are not sent from Spike. Makes it impossible to use.
Privacy of mail?
The app looks nice and got some great feautures. However, images are always downloaded automatically and there seems to be no way to disable that. That’s a privacy concern for me, considering the ridiculous amount of trackers these days.

Good idea but missing key functions
Spike is a good idea with the conversation like set-up. And it is easy to use. HOWEVER not being able to create folders to organize your emails is a BIG flaw. Spike says they use hashtags instead of folders, but that makes no sense. Also the sound notification does not work and there is no option to chose different sound alerts.
Great app
I really like the idea to simplify mail in such a smart way, and the app doesnt dissapoint on that promise. I recommend the app to everyone, that use mails on a daily basis.

Spam
I installed Spike. Now I receive mails from Spike I would like to unsubscribe from. I have unsubscribed several times, but they keep sending me mails. 1 star for that
A little way to go
The app feels very unpolished on iPad. When set in horizontal mode text is simply stretched from one side of the screen to the other. Something smarter, like in the Mac version, could be done here. The Mac version is really nice, with the exception of calendar having limitations - no easy way to get an overview of long-term availability without lots of scrolling. This is the case for the iOS apps as well. All that empty space on the right side, why not use it for a traditional calendar?
