Spoutible

Easy to use, great communication, very close to bird site and I tried others before finding my fit on this platform

1st the platform: the Spoutible platform is very similar in usability to the bird site, but where it excels is the safety for its community. Spoutible does allow free speech but one is not allowed freedom from consequences for being misogynistic, hateful, etc and that has created a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable experience. 2nd the app: intuitive if you’ve been using the Spoutible site and will feel familiar if you’re just joining through the app.

Am delighted to find spoutible is all its supporters claim for it. Harder work than those run by /with algorithms, in that my TL is in fact my follows … which takes a bit of time to build. SO worth it! Congratulations to Bouzy and team.

This app is easy to use, with frequently added new features, and stability. Interesting and supportive community. No algorithm to boost negativity.

Spoutible is wonderful. The best app for people who are seeking a safe space on social media. A great alternative to the app formerly known as Twitter. Highly recommended!

Is there a problem logging in? I’ve tried several times and nothing. That’s why I left before. Seems to still have bugs! Not happy!

Spoutible itself is great when I was able to use it. But I haven’t been able to log in for several days and I can’t get a response to a ticket. I’ll be happy to adjust this review (or write a different one) once this situation has been addressed but right now it’s extremely frustrating.

WHY is there no option in the timeline settings to turn off or opt out of the persistent Pod at the top of the timeline? Do not want this. Am not interested in seeing, listening to The Morning Commute or any other Pod all day every day. If I ever want to listen to a Pod, I will find one on my own. PLEASE STOP with the auto-start Pods in the timeline, already playing when the app opens! The Pods feature is a resource hog and should always be OPTIONAL to join. It is using up bandwidth and running down the battery. It's also hard to stop the audio, in fact I see no way to do that without closing the app. This is a bad idea, please make it stop. I'm not looking for an audio content delivery app, the audio is an optional feature for me. Glad it's working for you, but don't make it mandatory. Pull down to update seems to do nothing. Accounts that have been suspended for terms violations still show up in the followers list. Those accounts should DISAPPEAR. ETA Would like option to choose which browser opens external links. Muted and blocked accounts should not display anywhere to the users who have muted or blocked. The "firehose" of new posts (enjoy access to this) in the "compass" section of the app is buggy; I often become trapped if I click on a post there and it opens a thread. The back arrow does not go all the way back to the real time list and then have to go back to the main menu and start over. ETA: Would love it if the app worked like nearly every other for iOS and allowed gestures like pinch to zoom. It is incredibly frustrating that the app still functions like a web page. ETA: It has taken me this long to realize the "app" is showing an image of the Spoutible web page. You can't copy text from spouts, they are just pictures.
