Strongbox Pro

I was on 1Password since 2014 or so and recently switched to Strongbox. 2 major points that I love. 1) You can actually buy a license/lifetime version and not have to have yet ANOTHER subscription. 2) You can setup an in-home computer from which to sync to and from, no need to store all of your passwords on cloud servers somewhere. In the day of constant hacks, this is of key importance to me. Kudos Strongbox!

You guys knocked it out of the park with 2FA and Apple Watch integration. Love everything you’re doing and this just killed all other authentication apps.

This is an almost perfect app. I love it and have used it for years. The desktop app is a 5 star but the iphone app has one small mistake that the desktop app fixed: hidden key file name. On the app anyone who opens it and wants to try to login immediately sees there that you a) need a key file and just in case you need a little more help b) the name of the file is blahblah.gif The desktop app fixes this becasue when you login in you can also hide the fact you need a key file and need to know you need one and of course you must also know the name of the file to use. Otherwise a near perfect app.

Looking for a full-featured KeePass compatible application for iOS (and macOS) look no further. Lots of features, amazing developers, great integration. Worth the subscription or even better, but the lifetime license!

Got me off the ever-worsening 1Password treadmill. Works well. Does what I want. The recent feature add for the iCloud backend is a massive improvement over the older iCloud Drive option. Would love to see more polish like 1Password 4 (RIP). But that’s minor. My only major annoyance has to do with KeePass limitations so I won’t mention it here. That being said I am glad this is built on KeePass. It’s reliable, trustworthy, and portable. 100% worth the money.

Buy Strongbox, get the lifetime version, be in control of your data forever. Excellent macOS interface, responsive developers, useful features. Don’t trust your passwords to some random cloud service. No vendor lock-in with a proprietary file format, uses the open-source standardized KeePass format!

I used 1password for years, up until version 7. I am very happy to have found Strongbox as a replacement. I love the Lifetime Edition as it integrates easily across my various devices. It’s a lifesaver!

App works great with KeePass file (shared drive linked with PC). App did have issue when using an IOS beta but developer fixed it quickly. Very professional and customer focused developer!

Excellent product. And I LOVE that I could pay it OUTRIGHT and not have to have one more subscription. Kudos!!

I wanted to share this review to express my appreciation to the developers for resolving an issue I encountered while using a BETA version of iOS. Running a beta version can lead to bugs that impact third-party apps, and I experienced one with my app. I reached out to the developers, making sure to mention I was on a beta version, and they impressively resolved the issue the same day. For anyone using iPhone beta versions, please remember you’re doing so at your own risk, as third-party developers often haven’t had the chance to fully test their apps yet.
