The lack of Canadian bar code scanning, and Canadian data makes everything extremely difficult to use. Our products list carbs as number of grams in a portion. So f,ex I have 12g carbs in 100g of yogurt. But How many total carbs is that? Who knows. The app is a horrible pain to try to use because of this. Other details: it should default to metric for Canadian accounts, it should have a landscape mode for iPad. Sadly I’ll be cancelling my premium tryout.
Quite enjoyed the app at first and got good results. Picking from a quantity of different foods and adjusting food quantities worked great. Unfortunately the calorie count that the app uses is off. The standard that everyone uses is Carbs and protein 4 calories per gram,fat 9 calories per gram. The app over counts calories consumed by hundreds of calories over actual intake. I bought this app several years ago and bought the onetime upgrade. It is excellent at keeping me on track and within my limits. I love that I can simply scan a barcode and I haven’t yet found a food that their data base is missing. I also like that I can add my own recipes. Their customer service can’t be beat either. This is a great app for anyone following a Keto diet and needs a simple way to track their macros and progress. Highly recommend.
I love their apps - it’s the simplest way to track your food with one click. Not exhaustive setup time, nothing too crazy. Just ingredients.
Do I dare update again? Last time I did that it wiped out all the info I put in myself for home-made or Canadian brand info the App didn’t have. UPDATE JUNE 2022: APP UPDATE DID SAME THING AGAIN!! This time it’s not even identifying the correct email address (on the purchase receipt!) to send a link for “Forgot Password.” This happened after an Update NOT after upgrading my phone. 🤬
I can’t log a lot of the food that I can eat because this app doesn’t have them listed. For instance, I cannot add that I have had cottage cheese because there is no cottage cheese in their list of foods. I do not eat pork and there is no “turkey bacon” to be able to log. This is not a good app if you want to actually be able to keep track of your carbs and stay in ketogenesis.
Tried twice to enter birthdate, no go. Stupid in the name is a tell
Guess this app is only for people 300lbs or less. Thanks for making me feel too fat to do keto
So far I’ve enjoyed using the app. My question is there a way to change the meal time in the logs section? If I add something to my log for lunch, but it was suppose to be entered as breakfast, is there a way to change the meal time without deleting and re-adding. The big I found is that when I deleted something in my log it deleted from My Foods.
