This app does at least work, which makes it 100% better than the competition, and it does a reasonable job of auto-creating captions. But it’s stuck in vertical mode on my iPad which means I can’t use my keyboard. And if ever there was an app that NEEDS a keyboard it’s this one. Also has an eye wateringly expensive monthly subscription.
Unfortunately because auto caption is for paying customers only, I can’t test to see how good it works or doesn’t. I won’t pay for something I don’t know how if it works how I need. If I was able to test this feature and see if it suits my needs I may have considered paying. You can put in manual captions in free version. Is not bad. But then the watermark isn’t in a corner but a quarter of a way down of video to the right.
Love the app!! Will be using it to edit all my videos!!
Would not translate Chinese in to English, very poor
As a content creator captioning plays a massive part in my job role! I felt this worked better than others I have used in the past with others you find yourself manually having to edit the captions with this app I noticed it picked up everything I say clearly! Would definitely recommend!
Paid to upgrade didn’t work
This is a big shame, you cant upload videos over 5 minutes. Unfortunately i have to add subtitles to longer videos. No easy way to continue like chapters for example you have to guess where you left off. Only 3 stars for me. Personally don’t like the AI chat replys. Where are the humans!!
Just downloaded 3 similar apps to test auto captions. This one demands pro upgrade beforehand. So I guess I’ll be using one of the other two options. Bye!
Waste of time and money.
Very pricey for an app that doesn’t even let you download in 4K. Lessens the quality of the video quite considerably. Also it’s really rubbish at putting grammar in the right places… It gives random words capital letters and uses commas in all of the wrong places meaning a lot of time wasted correcting the errors. Captions aren’t timed correctly either and it’s very confusing to navigate the times each individual caption is on the screen. Not worth it at all!
