Description

The Swachhata-MoHUA is the official app of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), GOI.

The app enables a citizen to post a civic-related issue (eg; a garbage dump) which is then forwarded to the city corporation concerned and thereafter assigned to the sanitary inspector of the particular ward.
The app has been built by IChangeMyCity – a division of Janaagraha, a Bengaluru based non-profit working to improve the quality of life in India’s cities and towns.

How does it work?

Take a picture of the Civic-related issue using your smart phone, and post it in one of the following categories.

・Garbage dump
・Garbage vehicle not arrived
・Dustbins not cleaned
・Sweeping not done
・Dead animals
・Public toilet(s) cleaning
・Public toilet(s) blockage
・No water supply in public toilet(s)
・No electricity in public toilet(s)

The app will capture the location while the picture is being taken. Just type in the landmark of the complaint location. The complaint will then be assigned to the concerned sanitary inspector/engineer.

You can also vote up on any other complaint relevant to you. You will get regular updates on the status of the complaint in the form of a push notification with the ‘Resolved’ image uploaded by the assigned sanitary inspector/engineer.
You can also reopen the complaint if you are not satisfied with the resolution of the complaint.

Poor Turnaround Time And Quality

Took over. A month for someone to come, and didn’t finish the job properly

App doesn’t work properly and problem is no solved but keeping as resolved. They are making us fools.

Garbage dump issue resolved in a week

I had posted an complaint. The response was in a week. The work was Excellent.. Thank you so much. Also I could see preventive measures are now taken that the garbage dump doesn’t happen. It gives me confidence that our city will really me a smart city soon 🙂

Not true to the claims

I had posted garbage dump pictures of Chandavali junction 8 days ago but it’s still not cleared ......so the challenge they have taken they r not working on it

Complaining for dump in upper govind nagar, Malad east since two months, no action taken instead complain was rejected by saying it is in p south ward .. dump is increasing day by day , causing diseases in the area ..

Waste management system should be proactive.

Generally speaking earlier our nation got used to throw the garbage on to streets. Now more civilized. At least we can see garbage in dust bins, but poor service by the officials to clear them in a scheduled manner. Unfortunately no actions for the complaint lodged thru this app as well. Dear Govt officials do justice to your salaries paid by us (the public) Jai hind!!

Very poor response. Answer is a standard complaint resolved where as nothing is done on the ground
