Search Function is Underwhelming
The search function seems to 1) never be fully functional as it has been indexing for months now and 2) only search the file name, not the content of files. Which makes it extremely limited in function.

I was using Sync as a separate place to keep a variety of files. Today I wanted to move a handful of files into their own folder; I selected them all and went through the steps of trying to move them, but the app began to behave strangely, and now the files are gone. Beware!
Kind of regretting paying for the increased storage because every time I try to open the app on my iPad, it crashes.
Many of us Mac users on Dropbox with large storage requirements and attached drives that we use for our cloud storage files are alarmed and angry that Apple and Dropbox are deprecating our external drives. OneDrive not only now requires itself to be on internal drives only, but has also corrupted about half of my files! That’s why I’ve migrated to Sync.com — which has superior security and a commitment to support external drives. My experience in the past few months has been overwhelmingly positive. For the same price I’ve been paying Dropbox for 3 Tb I now get 6 TERABYTES! Speed is not quite as fast as DropBox but plenty speedy for my (mostly still) photography needs, saving me quite a lot of money that I’d rather not pay Adobe.
After some complications with what video files would be supported on one of my three main storage apps, it was so worth installing this app just to transfer some of the videos that I’ve converted onto it. I’m also glad that I can actually keep an eye on my battery charge level during playback.
The app is hot garbage, even though the service itself is great. You can’t create links (random errors), you can’t access the files in Files, or copy them, or share them to another app, because random errors. It can maybe sometimes open a file within the app itself, if you’re lucky. Otherwise it basically doesn’t work at all. UPDATE: now it stopped working completely. Great, I no longer can access my files at all.
I really wanted to use this. I signed up for the trial, downloaded all the apps and software, and immediately ran into set up issues based on the amount of data I needed to back up. I tried to reach out to support and no one would answer my request. My choice was backblaze.
Nothing but issues. Coudent uplaod 1 video for 30 min. Then can’t change password, can’t reset password, can’t change email because errors after errors etc etc. deleted it all done! Plus they collect info on you so meh
I have a strong computer background. Installed sync on MacBook and iPhone. MacBook it creates a folder I could put some test files in but app never displayed. App never appeared where it was supposed to. I found it in applications and ran it - a handful of tasks were in the Activity Monitor but nothing on any screen anywhere r too access the app. No way to personalize settings. No settings in iPhone app. “Manuals” were less than sparse but even for that little but of info it didn’t match what was seen on the computer. I wanted the offline feature that iCloud doesn’t provide but no way to use it with the extremely limited “manuals” and lack of settings.
