Would have given it 4 stars up till now but stopped working on iPad and phone. Probably one of the many updates now useless and need to use a PC for streaming and internet radio. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it especially if it cost £900.
I’m using this with the SA-C600 I’ve been using Tidal for the last few years and love the user interface. Having just purchased the Technics, I was looking forward to using Tidal through Technics dedicated app. I find the app to be basic, amateurish even. Not like the sleek great to use Tidal app, or Spotify. So, I’ve decided to keep using the Tidal app, via Airplay. despite the small drop in sound quality, of which I probably won’t be able to here anyway with my old tinnitus ears, the user experience is more important and so I shan’t be using the app much.
Good app overall, frequent bug fixes with updates . Would love to see album artwork when playing cds on the app.
I’ve been using this app for a couple of years and find it impressive. I’ve never had any stability issues and the overall user experience is positive, with an intuitive and thoughtful user interface. For a non-software company, this a very good effort.
While I’m happy with the internet speaker, the app is very poor, slow to read the data from the device and the UI is ergonomically light years behind. Also keeps losing the saved favourites stations and displaying new random ones instead, although this might not be directly related to the app.
Had my new streamer / super cd player for 4 weeks and app not working
I bought the beautiful looking C350 2 years ago, and love how it looks…. Love how it sounds, when not trying to connect through the App. The App is possibly the worst interface ever. Great sound, awful awful app. Sorry.
Followed set up procedure in the app using google home. All set up, recognised system (SA-C600) in Google Home, can connect through AirPlay, but cannot find system in Technics App!!!!!!!!’
Whilst I have some wonderful speakers, it’s virtually impossible to enjoy them fully as whenever you try to use the app, it continually disconnects from the network it is on and just ruins any form of actual enjoyable experience, knowing that anytime soon, it will disconnect or crash. Don’t get me wrong the speakers work great through a wired connection, and using AirPlay things seem ok, but through the actual Technics app = disaster and I have been pursuing this for over 2 years now after a +£800 purchase!! Not on really!
It’s good when it works but keeps losing connection every few weeks. This requires my son attending (as I am 85) to reset the connection. Very frustrating!
