Tempdrop is the first of its kind - a personalized user-specific thermometer that learns minute temperature variations, correlated with hormonal fluctuations throughout the ovulatory cycle (e.g. Estrogen, Progesterone), thus identifying recurring temperature patterns up to 5 days before ovulation.
This app is communicating with your Tempdrop sensor via Bluetooth 4.0 and sends the data for analysis on our cloud algorithm server. Your characteristic sleeping temperature will be displayed shortly after.

How much does Tempdrop cost?
Tempdrop has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is 314.00 Rp.
The latest update renders the device useless. I can no longer download data because the app will not allow me to login or to create a new account. When I try to login, it forces a password update, but the reset never reaches my email. I try to create a new account, but it won’t get past the “do you own a sensor” screen. So I really don’t know what I’m supposed to do. I feel like I shouldn’t have purchased the device at all.
Overpriced & overrated
I’m convinced that the people who rave about the Tempdrop are brand affiliates.
Pros: -It’s definitely helpful to have a wearable device and not have to wake up at any certain time to track temps Cons: -Really not user-friendly -Algorithm & data-changing makes you wonder if the initial data it gives you is accurate or not -Have to pay a monthly fee just to get basic interpretation of your data (not to mention other factors that it’s already tracking) that other apps already provide for free—the device is already around $140, and is worth $60 at most -Stores very little data
After all that, BBT tracking is a lot less reliable than you think, as only around 11% of people who ovulate have a BBT rise within 24hrs after (many have a more gradual and delayed rise instead). I was so ready to love the Tempdrop, but after a year of use I can say that LH strips have been much more cost-effective, user-friendly and accurate
Tech 4/5 app 2/5
This version as of 5/15 is absolutely awful. Tons of bugs - the app crashes, does load half the pages, and gave me a hard time when trying to sync first thing in the morning.
Overall:
As other wearable options continue to advance their capabilities and technology, I’ve become a bit frustrated with my TempDrop. For the price, it seems like the app interface should be A LOT better. I use Flo and TempDrop to track my cycle, as part of a hormone-free birth control system.
The device itself is great, the fact that it’s primary focus is on cycle tracking (as opposed to a million other things) is the only reason I haven’t switched products, because the sleep tracking is remedial, at best. The app also has the most clunky interface I have ever seen. As other users have mentioned, it’s got a terrible layout when it comes to an overview that shows temperature/cycle phase/symptoms.
As a natter of fact, my cycle phase never updates. For the price of this device and the premium subscription, I will be considering technology like oura ring or whoop when the cycle tracking portion is prioritized. It’s only a matter of time.
Making paying customers pay for the app
The thermometer works great, makes one tiny step easier, sure.
But It is not cheap and making customers who already bought it have to pay to see the absolute minimum information is very crappy. The only one piece of information you can get from it is the BBT and that’s it. Not even your fertile window unless you pay extra? Really?
The single one other thing it’s good for, sleep data, you can’t even access without paying premium. It’s disappointing to feel taken advantage of as a paying customer. They would make more and smarter business by making people happy, not frustrated, in my opinion.
So every morning I sync it and go enter my BBT -and a huge list of other symptoms and data- to my awesome fertility app Ovia, which gives me charts, fertility window, and even advice and insight which I honestly look forward to in my journey of TTC.
Subscription
The three stars are for the app, not the device. The device works perfectly, and the app syncs well each morning. Highly recommend. I just find it frustrating that I paid so much for the device and still have to pay a yearly subscription to see the calendar or sleep cycle features. I get that fertility insights would be a bonus paid feature, but I guess I was hoping for more of a Fitbit interface, you buy the device once and get your basic data free everyday (sleep, temperature).
Keeps blocking calendar until “restored”
I’m switching to a different app as my main tool. I thought subscribing would make tracking easier, but now every time I open the app it blocks my calendar despite having an active premium subscription. It makes me “restore” my purchase each time to function properly.
I bought the expensive tracker, paying for a buggy app is not cutting it for me.
Poor customer service
I love my tempdrop but lately I am having issues with my device syncing. Customer service takes days to respond. They asked for videos and pictures and everything seemed fine but today I realized that they are being ridiculous and extra. They asked about “marks” on the device and they are so so tiny you can tell its just dust! They made me send new pictures and asked for what battery brand I use. This is insane as this device is far from cheap. I also pay for the app and I also paid extra for the warranty. I even had to pay extra for new arm bands from an Etsy shop bc the one tempdrop sent just didn't work for me. I am starting to understand that they are doing everything they can to “help” so they don't have to send a new device even though I paid for the warranty. It makes me so sad. I have read other reviews with similar stories as well.
*UPDATE*They sent me a replacement sensor and I no longer have this issue. I just hope that this sensor lasts me a long time.
Waste of money
I used the device every day for a month and a half when it abruptly stopped working right before a cycle day when I was expecting critical data. I sent a message to the support team which requested videos or photos of the device. I sent a video. They replied asking for photos. Useless. This device was expensive to deal with trouble shooting aimlessly for a week.
Great concept
The TempDrop device is a great concept and way easier that oral BBT tracking. The app can be a bit glitchy.
Stopped connecting to my phone
After less than a year of using my Tempdrop, it has stopped connecting to my phone. I have tried all the troubleshooting instructions with no success. The customer service is rude and unhelpful and keeps telling me to try steps that I've already taken that have done nothing to solve the issue. I asked to be refu desired sent a new one and customer service denied. Very disappointed.
