An incredible International read
I was visiting the UK in 2016 and discovered the Evening Standard. What a great read! This newspaper kept me informed and up to date, on a daily basis,… AND,.. included fresh, very current international news from my home country, Australia. I returned home and, ever since that visit have continued to download the daily paper to keep abreast of what is happening in the UK. As I said, a great read,.. keep it up Evening Standard.
evening standard worse since changes
Once upon a time, the Evening Standard came to my email.I could open it and read it like reading a paper - it was simple. But now I have to have a profile, I have to login daily just look at the paper each day - and I can't find archives any more. it's so much more difficult to navigate.Just fail to understand why these changes were necessary and expression "less is more" was never more apt.
Crashes Every Time
Worked far better previously
Freezes more often than not.
When it opens it’s terrific but increasingly it freezes and locks up your browser. You have to close down and power off to get your browser to work again. Pity.
Poor show
Unstable app that constantly crashes! Poor c- could do better!

This app needs work to improve. Not good enough. Has all the same faults as the Independent app.
Sign-in No thanks
Sign-in for what! Rubbish. Deleted!
A free paper that isn’t free?
Why does a free paper insist on a sign in? I am not paying with my data! And why can’t a sign in be setup with in the app. Very poor! A once good product ruined by marketing people. Good luck convincing advertisers that there is the readership. Time to uninstall I think.
Failed update
I used to happily use this app on a regular basis. Then it broke when ios17 came out which I accept can happen but it took a while to fix. Now it opens but insists on registering without any explanation as to why they now want your email address where they didn’t need it before. This is a big fail in the user experience for me and I’m not going to provide my email without them at least explaining why they now NEED this. I’ll check back in a week or so to see if they’ve dropped this requirement (from which we could infer all sorts of sneaky intent), and if not the app will be deleted.
