Honestly, the most useless thing in my kitchen, never connects properly, new set of batteries every cook, wants your data even when not using - what for? To sell to other companies. Thankful for a trusty old meat thermometer with a cord.

Purchased Two MeatSticks (should have named them S _ _tSticks for over $380.00 AU) both didn’t work from day go .Returned for WTY replacements one was replaced other came back the same as it was returned. AVOID THESE PRODUCTS LIKE THE A PANDEMIC Can’t believe one was returned the same as presented ( Loosing connectivity @ 45deg) after returning for a product that actually worked

Great temp probes with good range. Slightly bewildering array of extenders, chargers and bridges. Make sure you know what you’re buying. The app is chaotic. There is no search function so rather than being able to look up ‘beef’ and see a range of cooking methods for beef, you have to go through a tedious process of cook-method to type of meat to types of cooks. And not all cuts are represented under each cook method (and may be different for different types of MeatStick) so you can find yourself hunting back and forth through the menu trees to find what you want. For simplicity, the Meater app has got this app well beat. The app will also relentlessly ask you to change location permissions to ‘always allow’. While it does need this to be able to send notifications even when the app does not have focus, MeatStick needs to learn that we live in age of ‘No means no’. If I say ‘No’ once when opening the app, don’t be effing asking me again and again.

Absolutely no need for this and I refuse to accept it. No other bluetooth or wifi device I own needs location services, thats not how bluetooth works…you pair a device and off you go. This is blatant personal data grabbing.

Bought as kick starter and Havnt ever cooked fully with it. No battery or doesn’t charge properly Why do we also need constant location and precise seems just like bad software and device pairing

We’re onto our third mini-stick in less than 6 months after the first two stopped working for no reason. All instructions followed to the letter. Company will replace the sticks but you’re on the hook for shipping so if you live outside the US, you’re essentially paying about the same amount in shipping fees as the cost of a new stick. Expensive throw-away tool.

Seriously good tool. Great support and backup. Makes the meater look like amateur hour.

Perfect meat all the time. Everyone can have a choice of how they like their meat. This is easy and accurate!

I ordered four of the MeatStick X devices, two charging stands and the WiFi bridge. One of the sticks (green one) arrived defective—it would not charge. One of the charging stands would not do anything but show a green LED. The WiFi extender has a limit of 20 characters on the WiFi password so I had to set up another network for it. The first time I tried to use the product (red stick) the app told me the battery needed charging even though I had put a full charge on it two days before and stored it in the product pouch. Nothing seems to work. I have requested a refund.
