I have had my Ironwood 850 for just over 7 months. It has had a temp probe change once and it took over 8 weeks to get the probe. I eventually had to change this myself as I got fed up with the poor service from the Traeger agent in Australia. The super smoke function does not work and as expected no support. Once the app picks up an error code you have to delete the app and reinstall to recognise there is no error code. The cost of the pellets is ridiculous with the average BBQ costing approximately $8 -$10 in pellet fuel. Naturally you have to buy Traeger pellets, and frankly it is not worth the money.
I won’t recommend the purchase.

Sensational App, Love using it. Cook Timeline?
Great app for smoking meat and controlling the cook.
I would love to see Traeger add to the app a cook timeline, where as i could go back and look at the different graphs like grill temp, cook time, internal temps, etc.
Cannot get app to stay connected
Since I have got the smoker and app I have not been able to get the app to stay connected and remember my grill. Not good.
Why destroy a good thing
Old app worked fine, now nothing but issues, app constantly says it needs updating and keeps sending me to the App Store to update an app that is already updated. Have tried uninstalling it and re-loading but nothing works, can’t even cook while I’m away from the house now so may as well have got a real smoker as the only point of this grill was be able to cook while out and about.
Grills are fantastic. App is unreliable and frustrating
I love the smoker. But the app is a let down. Can’t log in. Error codes. Have to uninstall reinstall says my email doesn’t exist when it does. Round and round we go. I am going to cook tomorrow and I can guarantee I will not be able to connect grill to app. Either don’t have an App. Or do it well. It damages the brand.
Won’t open new version
I love this app , now there has been an updated version I cannot creat an account and open the app, keeps telling me error.2 should have left it , if it ain’t broken don’t fix it!!!
App needs to be improved 10% to be perfect
The app background refresh doesn't seem to be accurate.
When I open the app to monitor the cooking temp it doesn't change.
To find the current temperature, the app has to fully shut down and be reopened to allow it to reload.
Useless upgrade
App has been upgraded. Can no longer log in.
Reset password just puts you in an endless loop that goes nowhere.
Great app.. but
Great app. Love the control and visibility I have over the grill while cooking. Also love the recipes available. But seriously when ever a new update comes out I get force signed out and can’t sign back in. Whoever is doing the app testing (if it’s even happening at all) needs a career change
