Description

Since 1973, The Ocean Race has provided the ultimate test of a team and a human adventure like no other. For nearly 50 years, it has kept an almost mythical hold over some of the greatest sailors and been the proving ground for the legends of our sport.

The 14th edition of The Ocean Race will be raced in two classes: the foiling IMOCA and the one-design VO65. It will start from Alicante, Spain on 15 January 2023, finishing in Genova, Italy early in the summer of 2023.

The race will visit nine iconic cities around the globe over a six-month period and will feature a leg with the longest racing distance in the 50-year history of the event - a 12,750 nautical mile, one-month marathon from Cape Town to Itajaí.

I've loved being able to keep up to date with the race via this superb app. I've just dropped one star because the chromecast support doesn't work.

A fantastic way to follow the race

This is an advanced yet user-friendly app, with several different and night features. I check in several times a day, for a race overview or for individual news stories and reports. It sometimes gets stuck, bot iPhone and iPad versions, but it is easy to restart. With this app, I can follow the VO race in ways I have never done before. Hats off to the guys behind this effort.

Brilliant coverage. Love the onboard cameras,it shows what a gruelling race it is. Being a sailor it feels at times as if you are there. Great work keep it coming

Crashes on ios8 on iPad

No joy getting this to work. So in sailing terms DNS!

Good app but room for improvement

I think I prefer the app for the last race edition. It was easier to navigate than this version. Some feedback: 1) get rid of the face collage at the start. Looks good the first time you load app but gets annoying after that. Just take me straight into the app 2) Show the date of the last update of watch log. Impossible to know if there is a new entry unless you click into it.

Not working

The app starts ...and it appears to crash. This is on IOS8. It would be a huge disaapointment if you a revised "fixed" version wouldn't be made avaialble before the race begins.
