Since 1973, The Ocean Race has provided the ultimate test of a team and a human adventure like no other. For nearly 50 years, it has kept an almost mythical hold over some of the greatest sailors and been the proving ground for the legends of our sport.
The 14th edition of The Ocean Race will be raced in two classes: the foiling IMOCA and the one-design VO65. It will start from Alicante, Spain on 15 January 2023, finishing in Genova, Italy early in the summer of 2023.
The race will visit nine iconic cities around the globe over a six-month period and will feature a leg with the longest racing distance in the 50-year history of the event - a 12,750 nautical mile, one-month marathon from Cape Town to Itajaí.

Been trying to figure this app out.
I’m not too familiar with this years. Looked at the team listings to work out who to support but there is hardly anything in the summary on them. I’m confused by the two classes of boats but can’t find much on that either. It really is hard to work out what’s going on. Even the first in port race there is no link I can find to watch it, just a short summary video. It looks like it’s going to be really hard to get into this
Mr
I've enjoyed using this app immensely. I have followed legs 5 and 6 daily, watching videos daily and caught up on others legs I had missed. The trackers are great to toggle between videos and to see the race playing out on the world map. I have watched the inshore racing live and in replay. Always good, good commentary and overlay graphics. It's very like the older Americas Cup app before they sold off the rights to the highest bidding sports channel and I became unable to follow it further. Support this app if you love sailing.
Great app
Love the coverage on the app highly recommend
Perfect for following the fleet.
Love the content and layout . Easy to use, and packed with up to the minute info.
No longer works
I was enjoying following the race on this app, but it no longer works: it just comes up with an error on starting, and nothing works.
Great content poor usability
Am I only the only one that has to turn my devices upside down to try and get the app to recognise the device's orientation? And why are some things portrait only by default (presumably related)? Super frustrating.
Otherwise it's a great way to see and feel the action. So, thank you.
Wrong format.
Having watched the previous races via the website and live I find the app frustrating. It is a very variable experience. The menu seems to change almost daily. Blog in. Blog out. Loading the ranking can freeze the app without actually completing. So you still don't know who is in the lead.
Perhaps the biggest crime is that there are far less emails off the boats included than earlier internet only volvooceanrace websites. It is the voice of the crews that I most miss. That means I have to surf round to other platforms to try and find them. One hub is better than many.
Great app
Great app
Disappointed
Getting better
Tracker Screen issues - pop ups are a pain
When you click on the boats in the tracker the Boat detail pop-ups are problematic. They pop-up over other boats (which is annoying) but currently some pop-ups have a black box popping up over the info box which hides the data.
