Description

Since 1973, The Ocean Race has provided the ultimate test of a team and a human adventure like no other. For nearly 50 years, it has kept an almost mythical hold over some of the greatest sailors and been the proving ground for the legends of our sport.

The 14th edition of The Ocean Race will be raced in two classes: the foiling IMOCA and the one-design VO65. It will start from Alicante, Spain on 15 January 2023, finishing in Genova, Italy early in the summer of 2023.

The race will visit nine iconic cities around the globe over a six-month period and will feature a leg with the longest racing distance in the 50-year history of the event - a 12,750 nautical mile, one-month marathon from Cape Town to Itajaí.

Keeping Me In Touch

It's great to be able to follow along with the progress of each team. The updates, articles and tracker are what I use the most, and the videos and photography are exceptional.

Th’apps getting better.....

Star of an app

I have been following the VOR for the past two editions. Making use of The App keeps me well informed of various details of this great event. Highly recommended.

Not interested in apps which do not open in landscape. Deleted.

No Landscape for iPads

If you use an iPad in landscape avoid this app. It will mess with your mind.

I’m trying to say nice things...

All of these years and the app still doesn’t work very well. It doesn’t even work in landscape mode The information is badly organised and it is impossible to get a quick glimpse of how things are progress.

How many years to get this app right? Good grief. The tracker is not good at all.

Efficient and convenient

Great way to "stay in touch" with the sailors and be aware of everything that's happening in the race.

On the fence

Great idea having an app for the racing. Followed the ocean race every day since I installed the app. Awesome live updates. But I can't figure out how to bring up the live tracker though, it comes up sometimes when I open the app but I have no control over it... Please fix this i feel its important that fans can visually see the boat's positions in relation to one another. Thanks Ferg.
