The Photographer's Ephemeris Reviews
Love this app
This app is by far worth the $ that they ask for, has definitely taken my photography skills to the next level by letting me know when and where I need to be for those amazing sunrise and sunset shots! If you contemplating getting this app, don't hesitate just buy it
One of a kind app for photographers!
I have been using this program for years when shooting professionally as an event photographer. Lets me plan out my photo shoot for the best natural lighting as well as setting up full flash.
Now since retired, I use it to plan my astronomy viewing. The latest update is fantastic for this! This app is absolutely worth its cost!
My favorite app for sun/moon data for photo taking
Been using it now for over 5 years. Nothing beats it. Nothing comes close.
Easy to use. And my go to app for all blue hours. Golden hours. Sunrise. Sunset. Moon. Etc.
A wonderful surprise after many years! Eclipses too!
I've been using TPE for many years now, to do mundane stuff like help people plan weddings so the photos would work.
And yesterday I discovered it also predicts eclipses. Beautifully and precisely. Great stuff!
Keeps crashing
Any time I have TPE open for planning and try to get the info to TPE 3D or transit, it always hangs or crashes.
Amazing App
With this app I have been able to plan for shots for a planned trip or for a date and time that I can get a shot based to the sun or moon position relative to a land mark. I’ve used it for city shots and nature shots. It’s a great tool.
GREAT APPEARED
I have had this app for a year and it has been a GREAT HELP. I take twilight photography and I can Dial in the sunset in the area I want to photography in. Find where the sunset will set and on the date that I will be in the area , a great help. I would recommend this to EVERYBODY that want to know where the sun and moon will rise and set. I have recommend this to all my friends. The new changes (April 2015) have been greatly received easier to to use. I ALWAYS use it to plan photographic adventures. Letting me know where the sun and moon will be at the place I am traveling. Best app for traveling. July 5, 2016 I have used and trusted the app since it beginning. I am a photographer that like to photograph sunrises and sunsets. I use this app to check sunrises and sunsets in the area's that I travel. The ability to keep locations I like to go is a very big plus. It is nice that I can see the times of sunrise or sunset and the dates of area's that I am thinking to photograph. I recommend this app highly. Nov 2 2016 LOVE and trust this app, I have use this app since it came out. I am a photographer and use it to take photo's of the sunrise and sunsets. It lets me plan my projects, locations and times so I can get the most out of the time in the area. Have shared this app with friends that NOW trust it .
TPE- essential tool for the informed photographer
Having TPE in the toolbox is really important to me so I make the most of my photography time. Surely happenstance photography ‘happens’ and I like to have my camera with me on a walk about with the dogs or just being out, intentional photography is deliberate and planned. You are still going to get surprises for content but hope to capture photos and videos of landscape and cityscape with the best opportunity for them to make a memorable impression. I am very please with Skyfire and when I find a quiet morning in the winter with little wind and a good chance of color I am headed to the lake to see if some long exposure photography can bring out some amazing photos with mirror like reflections of the landscape and sky. So many opportunities to use it for both day and night photography, it really is a tool for the informed photographer.
Essential tool for landscape photography
I find TPE not only very useful but also essential in some cases for successful landscape photography.
Knowing ahead of time where and at what time sunrise and moonrise will occur and even being able to compensate for the effect of obstructions such as nearby hills or more distant mountains has allowed me to position myself at just the right spot at the right time.
I highly recommend this tool for landscape photography.
Easy to use, great information on sunrise and sunset
Easy to use app for finding exact sunrise and sunset times, as well as other astronomical information. Well integrated with Google or Apple Maps. I’ve used it in Europe and North America.
