There is no way to create a user account in the app and therefore impossible to - well - use the app.

Too much bugs! Have to restart very often. Should i buy the MacOS version? The app could be find to use, but the layout is for nerds. Dont know...

Funktioniert jetzt deutlich zügiger. Auf Grund des kleinen Displays kommt es an die Desktop App nicht ganz ran aber in Kombination jetzt gut nutzbar

Z.B. - Kein Splittview - Keine interne Möglichkeit Anhänge wie z.B. Pdfs zu bearbeiten, aber auch vernünftige Anbindung an externe Apps, wie zB. die App Notebooks bietet. - Anhänge werden einzeln beim Aufrufen mit der Cloud synchronisiert. Arbeiten unterwegs und ohne Internet funktioniert so nicht.

Awesome and powerful tool! I love it that the sync is happening automatically in the new version and the performance is better on Mac now. What I’m missing is better app support: I’m working with the iPad Pro a lot and therefore a split screen support is essential. Keyboard support would also be nice and better touch gestures.

Auf dem Desktop finde ich "The Brain" hervorragend. Die App ist von der Bedienbarkeit her ebenfalls klasse. Leider gibt es für mich einen Haken: Wie eine andere bereits geschrieben haben kann mit dieser Version nur über den Server der Firma von "The Brain" mit der Desktop Version gesynct werden. Für mich ist dies zur Zeit keine Option da mir die Sicherheit meiner Daten wichtiger ist. Somit ist die App für meine Zwecke unbrauchbar. Ich habe die Firma bereits dazu kontaktiert. Die Antwort war, dass der Wunsch, lokal zu syncen wahrgenommen wurde und es keine Informationen dazu gäbe ob und wann dies umgesetzt würde.

I can’t even say whether the app is good or bad because I can’t use it. Clicking on a he app icon a login page opens. As I’m not registered - and the app doesn’t provide anything where I could do that (like millions of other apps do) - it becomes useless as it just won’t open. The worst I’ve ever seen in the App Store. A shame I can’t give zero stars

Die Entwicklung der iOS-Version von TheBrain wurde offensichtlich eingestellt. Die wirklich gute MacOS-Version 9 wird zwar noch als „Combo“ verkauft. Das ist aber Augenwischerei. Ich fürchte, das ganze Produkt geht zum Teufel. Es war einmal das beste auf dem Markt.

it‘s good to have; as it allows people already invested in the desktop app to read and - to some extent - edit their ‚brains‘. but this is really base-level implementation. sync works fine, editing new thoughts also. but a lot (most) of what makes a ‚brain‘ useful can‘t be done: reports (complex search):no, html-, pdf- and some other important attachment types:no; timeline: no; crawling + multi-select:no;… also given that things are ‚your brain‘ the lack for a private/self-hosted syncing is a little staggering. donˋt get me wrong: itˋs really useful - for dedicated theBrain users. but given the rather astronomical subscription price such a minimal implementation and being forced to sync potentially critical stuff only over a company server in the us is really ... underwhelming. I am not liking or wanting to complain; but other references of serious information managers (like DTTG) show that an ios client can be treated with some more respect for the idea/rationale of the app and the users.

Wieso eigentlich so schlechte Bewertungen, obwohl ganz klar in der Beschreibung steht, dass man einen Account braucht. TheBrain ist eine tolle App für Mac oder Windows und hiermit ist es möglich auch unterwegs mit seinem Brain zu arbeiten (wenn man einen bezahlten Account hat). Insofern lohnt es sich wahrscheinlich nur für die, die ernsthaft damit arbeiten wollen. Wer sich mal ansehen will, wie ein Brain aussehen kann, das 15 Jahre gepflegt wurde, der google mal "TheBrain jerry". Da kann man dann sehen, was für tolle Möglichkeiten die App bietet. Die Art vernetzte Ideen darzustellen ist einzigartig und geht weit über das hinaus, was mit Mind Maps möglich ist. Schön wäre es, wenn die Möglichkeiten an die Desktopversion angepasst werden. Insofern ist da noch deutlich Potential nach oben.
