TIME Magazine è lo specchio della crisi dell’editoria. Un tempo era il settimanale più letto al mondo e una garanzia di qualità in ogni ambito, ora negli ultimi anni sta passando di proprietà in proprietà, l’anno scorso è passato dall’essere settimanale all’essere quindicinale (mantenendo invariato il prezzo degli abbonamenti) e la app in 10 anni da ottimo esempio di come dovrebbe essere una rivista digitale, con un’edizione interattiva e video a corredo, è diventata un semplice contenitore di versioni pdf della rivista. I file pdf tra l’altro sono pesantissimi e per nulla ottimizzati per una rivista online (un numero pesa circa 2 GB!!!): si impiega un sacco di tempo a scaricare un numero e dà persino rallentamenti alla connessione. La funzione di reflow del testo è sgradevole e le righe son troppo appiccicate l’una all’altra. La versione audio degli articoli, un tempo affidata a lettori professionisti, ora è semplicemente una voce sintetica. TIME ha davvero perso un po’ il suo tocco e la versione digitale è indegna del nome che porta. Si vede che anche la rivista più letta al mondo non naviga più in buone acque. Solo una manica di incompetenti può caricare su uno store online gli stessi pdf pesantissimi che si usano per la stampa. Davvero una fine ingloriosa per quella che un tempo ormai lontano era la rivista più prestigiosa al mondo.I will never subscribe again. R.I.P.

Total rubbish
No way to have my subscription recognized. Keeps asking me to buy isssues. Customer service kind, but outrageously slow and useless

Spent many weeks trying to access the app. With the new version I succeeded entering the app but it asks me to pay the numbers even if I have a valid subscription. Help desk, the worst ever. Hands down the worst online experience ever. Such a great magazine and such a poor treatment for the readers.

App not working, and issue not solved after many contacts to the assistace. Paper vesion too arrived couple of time, and then nothing. I will never subscribe again!
The issues arrive really late
Unfortunally I have to be unhappy about the paper issues! They arrive almost 3 weeks later!

Delusione: non scarica singoli articoli sul mio iPhone. Time vault disponibile solo fino a 2014, senza possibilità di ricerca.
Entusiasmo: buona grafica e fluidità della gestione dei menu e schermi.
Conclusione: aspetto la prossima versione.
Promette ma non mantiene
Promette una versione ottimizzata per la lettura di ogni singolo articolo che però non funziona. Disponibile soltanto una versione pdf difficile da leggere. Peccato.
