Is there a way that noone can download photos except the one that created the album?
I paid for this app when I first downloaded it because I wanted to share with distant relatives. But now, some of my followers, and even myself, are continuously asked to pay the fee even though I already did! My followers are supposed to be free according to the FAQs, but asking me to pay AGAIN is extremely frustrating. I can’t upload any new memories without the demand for payment. And once again, I have already paid. I’ve emailed them but no return from their customer support. Shameful. Update May 2024; They’ve increased the price significantly since my last post. But that’s not the worst of it. The app is extremely buggy now. Photos don’t load, some people can comment and others can’t, and my husband is limited to his quantity of uploads even though we should have the same permissions. I can’t believe that with the increase of price, that the user experience got worse. I won’t be renewing my subscription for another year.
I was really enjoying tiny beans as it was a great way to share photos. It was super disappointing to discover the price of tinybeans+ has literally doubled from $50 to $100 annually with no reasonable explanation. The free version only allows 20 pictures per month which is not nearly enough. If it wasn’t for the photos I’d already uploaded, I’d likely delete the app all together
Do not use! They get you emotionally invested with a couple years of free use and then, when you already have all kinds of personal comments and photos and videos uploaded, which would take hours to move to a different platform, they start charging you and the cost goes way up eventually! Better to use Facebook and make a private album that continues to be free into the future!
The $100 price tag would be fine IF the app worked. There are waaaay too many bugs to warrant the price tag now. We have nearly 10 years of data in TinyBeans so we’re not going anywhere, but if you’re new, I’d look around for something more stable. 1. Scroll doesn’t work, it skips images. 2. Caption screen doesn’t scroll as you type 3. Captions are cut short without the ability to scroll 4. Some features are country specific so you’re paying for something you can’t get 5. Customer service response time is 10-30 days 6. Uploading is unstable so you sometimes have to close the app and load photos one at a time 7. Spellcheck doesn’t work when typing captions
Love this app, love how it’s keeps our family connected across the country! Easy to use & upload! Customer service is Superb 👍🏼 I have always felt confident in Tinybeans privacy policy - we have never had a concern and we are particularly conservative. Love it & our recipients do too 🤩
I’ve been a user for over 8 years. We LOVE the original app. It had cost us $40 for the premium version but when we divorced, we thought it was a great way to share the memories from days we don’t have custody. Now the price is being jacked up to $100 plus tax!!! I don’t see the validation in increase. When I emailed and asked about it I was told about a bunch of products that I can’t even get as a Canadian user. Then I was told about the free version with ads. That part doesn’t bother me to keep using the app, however, there is a limit of 20 images per month to upload! That’s not even an image a day!!!! Sooooo very disappointed by the greed this once wholesome little app is displaying. Shame on you Tinybeans.
This service has been free for many years and in the last 3 years they are charging us 100$ for the same service.
We’ve used this app for 7+ years. It went through a very bad, buggy period where it was almost unusable, but it has steadily gotten into better and better shape. Looking good once again.
