I’ve been using the app for the last (almost) 4 years. It was free the first two years and I was hesitant to pay when they started charging but decided to do it. I’ve just found out they want to charge £70 for the next year!! Just ridiculous! I’ll be switching to a cheaper option.
It’s a great app as an idea and we use it to stay in touch with family in other countries, but it is getting more and more expensive, and each update seems to make things a little bit worse! The latest update now means that all the comments I posted with each photo are now half cut off, which is pretty bloody annoying. I’m not sure I’d carry on using it if I’d just started trying it out, but we’ve had it for a couple of years now and the grandparents are used to it as a way of seeing pics of the grandkids.
We have used this app for years to share photos with family members around the country (and world) and it’s brilliant. However, they have just announced a price increase to £69.99 per year and this is an inflation-busting amount for the same app. If you already have hundreds (or thousands) of photos saved on TinyBeans, there will be a download all .zip option but, you guessed it, only if you pay the £69.99 option. This is a real shame and we won’t be renewing our subscription. I assume they believe that parents will pay but I begrudge this company extorting money from new parents, for an app that simply stores photos.
I’ve been a regular user of this app since 2013 and on the whole it’s been a great way to share memories with close friends/family. When they introduced the ‘plus’ version at a cost of £33.99 I agreed to pay as it seemed reasonable for what they offered. I actually never utilised the ‘extras’, but considering the free option only allows 20 uploads per month, you’re left with little choice. Then a year later they massively hike up the annual subscription to £69.99 - for what I don’t know. Presumably got too big for their boots and have too many overheads to pay now. You can get Netflix for 4.99 a month! How a photo storing app thinks it can charge more than that is beyond me.
Since the day our child was born, we have pretty much added a photo each day. We love sharing them with close friends and family in a private secure way. Our child often asks to look at the photos and enjoys the videos. We would 100 % recommend the app.
Such a good app to share photos with all the Family. Absolutely love the memories when they come up.
