Although the app allows you to download offline maps it checks for your subscription status even if you're offline and therfore it's not usable for overland trips where you are offline for multiple days.

Cannot search while driving, not even via voice prompts. Totally useless while driving.

After using TomTom (app and hardware device) I’ve finally decided not to renew my subscription. Here’s the problem: TomTom is really good. Really good. But 97% of the functionality is available in Google Maps. Yes, sure Google does not have offline maps, and Google’s lane guidance is not *as* good, but in every other aspect, Google is better. Its free, its maps are way more detailed, its maps are way more accurate, map updates happen so much faster, and most importantly, you can almost instantly find anything on Google Maps, where about 70% of the time TomTom can’t even find basic stuff. Sorry TomTom, the few things that made you better … made you worth paying for, no longer cut it.

Please provide the option to deactivate the "pass through the toll gate" notification in South Africa. The Gauteng "toll gates" are no operational and hence the notification is very irritating.

I have a GO5100 installed in my car. I purchased this device which included worldwide lifetime maps updates. Now looking at having the iOS app installed on my phone only to find out that I would be expected to have to pay a subscription fee to use the maps that I have already paid for when purchasing the GO5100. This is a rip off approach. TT needs to reconsider this policy or loose potential users.

You guys at tom Tom are scam artists when this Tom Tom go first released years ago I paid in full then you introduced subscriptions and my purchase of unlimited maps is now invalid when I download your app again it’s telling me I must subscribe what a lode of nonsense do you expect people who buy dedicated Tom Tom navigation devices for cars to have to loose everything and subscribe? You guys are sharks.

After the latest upgrade, the app seems to have lost some functionality. When selecting a destination from my favourites it brings it up on the map and when I select drive/go the screen simply returns to an empty screen as if no selection has been made. I usually have to exit the app and then re-enter and that seems to get it working again. Very frustrating for an app that seemed to work perfectly before the upgrade. More frustrating now as my subscription is due for renewal and I am having second thoughts whether this snag will get fixed. In addition Why is there no search function for your favourites?

My subscription renews automatically in 4 months time. Why on CarPlay does the app keep telling me that my subscription has expired, or is about to expire, and then not let me use it? Super annoying. I recall the same issue this last year this time….

I Purchased the App now they want me to subscribe to the App. This is SICK! The following is facts: 1. They offered the App; 2. I duly paid for the App; 3. They want now - That I must pay a monthly subscription!
