WiFi REQUIRED?

It’s unfortunate that my trips must begin where there’s WiFi. Without broadband, I can’t navigate.

They won’t fix live traffic issues NY

Don’t get this if you drive on Long Island New York. There is no live traffic information being reported to TomTom for the entire 71 mile stretch of the Long Island Expressway both east and westbound for over a year. I’ve opened many tech support tickets, supplied pictures and video of the issue. I’ve also sent pictures of google maps next to TomTom while navigating to show TomTom is not reporting traffic on the Long Island Expressway. It also directs to the HOV lane even when the avoid carpool lane is active in settings. They will not fix it, they don’t care.

A solid app but very dated UI

Overall, this is still a useful app, but the user interface is very dated (it hasn’t been updated since 2020, and the free AmiGO app is much more modern). Additionally, the lack of voice search for points of interest is more than inconvenient (having to pull over to search means switching to another app 99% of the time), especially while driving. That said, I still appreciate the route bar, and the map, traffic data, and navigation in the US are reliable. I hope that, since Apple Maps and other companies rely on TomTom services, this app will receive a significant update soon.

This map app doesn’t know it’s a GPS app. No location called Orlando, Florida. Trying to get directions and every destination I enter it says No Results Found.

Before use , you should pay for map. Ok. After you must download map , otherwise you can’t use app .

Walking and bicycle type routes no longer an option

I have been a customer since the first release on the iPhone. I have enjoyed using it over the years. Even struggled through a few upgrades. But overall it is a a top tier navigation app. Not sure how long it has been missing. But it seems route types that allowed you to choose a walking, bicycle or transit routes is gone. I have looked for it on the app and looked online, but it seems this functionality has been removed. No longer 5 stars. Just a little disappointed because I used the walking routes when I travel.

Nice GPS, but not for me.

I can’t justify paying for a GPS app subscription when Apple Maps works perfectly well for free.
