Build quaint island towns with curvy streets. Build small hamlets, soaring cathedrals, canal networks, or sky cities on stilts. Block by block.
No goal. No real gameplay. Just plenty of building and plenty of beauty. That's it.
Townscaper is an experimental passion project. More of a toy than a game. Pick colors from the palette, plop down colored blocks of house on the irregular grid, and watch Townscaper's underlying algorithm automatically turn those blocks into cute little houses, arches, stairways, bridges and lush backyards, depending on their configuration.

Townscaper FAQ
Is Townscaper free?
Yes, Townscaper is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Townscaper legit?
🤔 The Townscaper app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I think this game needs to develop a resident mode, it will make the city that players build more vibrant and interesting, of course, it should only stop at resident mode, not residents appearing wherever there is a house. I built a coastal city but it was boring because there were no living creatures other than a few birds perched on the roof 😭😭😭 Anyway, the game is great, i love it 🤩
Payment issued
I dont want to pay and cancel but it keep ask me pay
I need a big new update for the map
I was extremely disappointed when I switched from the mobile version of TOWNSCAPER to the Switch, it seems that the map size that I can build is too small, much smaller than the PC version. A few days ago I bought Townscaper on my phone, yesterday I also bought it on the Switch version to satisfy my creative ideas about the game, but you guys seem to disappoint me because the map capacity is really limited. I hope you guys get the new update to enable the bigger map on phone and Switch like the PC version.
Best game
It would be great if the city had people
Hmmm
I think it’s the best game I bought with money behind Minecraft , it’s just to simple to give it a 5 , I think you should add like bridges , cars , boats , styles of houses for example like Italian German American British or modern style in the setting , and add more animals like cats and dogs , the most important one is the biom , you should me able to make the ground grass or anything , please read this and make it an update
boring
so boring 🥱
This is AMAZING! Just one idea.
This game is so worth it. It’s fun, it’s calming, most of all it’s ad-less, and NO in-app purchases! I love all the little details, especially the cute little boots at the door that pop up sometimes. But I feel like it would be so much better of a game if there was people in it. Seeing people go into houses, walk, wagon things, etc etc. It would add another element to the whole experience, cause, what’s a town without its residents? Other than that, I would 1000% recommend this game!
Disappointing Gameplay
This is a neat and well executed project with very cute visuals. The vibrant colors and pleasant atmosphere are relaxing.
From a gameplay standpoint, this game has cleverly avoided the common sandbox game trap of copycat gameplay and poor core mechanics in favor of the avant garde strategy of including no gameplay whatsoever. It is an empty husk, although of course it is a pretty one.
Don’t bother
Controls too small. You don’t chose anything.
Amazing game!!! But some suggestions
This game is amazing and I have been playing it since it came out on mobile but I’m kinda bummed that it has so much potential.
Here are some suggestions
1. DOLPHINS there should definitely be more than just birds and butterflies
2. LIGHTS the two things in the game that don’t light up (but should) are porch lights and lighthouses.
3. MORE COLORS they have all the colors you could want now, but custom colors would be nice or more variety.
