The monthly fee seems to have doubled (twice?) since the subscription was I introduced. Way too much for an app without a watch companion and for the features that seem to have remained unchanged for as long as I can remember. Its a shame how far it’s fallen.
Awesome app for cyclist. This app allows you to find routes and trails wherever your travel may take you.
The low review is because there is no way to get customer service. I had problems renewing and there was no help. otherwise it would be a 5.
Outside of the U.S. and having trouble finding trails around me in a foreign language, so I googled stuff and found Trail Forks. On the website, you can load all sorts of info about everything trail related so the website itself is nice. I’m the website, it says there are more perks to the app and doesn’t mention a subscription. But if you download the app, you literally cannot do anything you can on the website, unless you buy the $50 subscription. Tried searching for trails in the search bar and all the results are blurred with a fat “get Trail Forks Pro” sign above it all, and it’s at every corner on the app.
This app is very useful and helpful but it would be even more useful and easy to use via smart watch.
It’s a good app for navigating when you’re physically on the trails, but $54 annually to do basic things like search is just greedy. With the free version you can only view 3 pictures of each trail, and it blurs out trail descriptions so you can’t read them, which is honestly pretty ridiculous. I’d be willing to pay $5-$10 a year just to be able to use the search function, but the price for pro is absurd, especially considering it’s the users who have done all the work mapping out all the trails as well as providing the photos and descriptions.
This app is a must for people who like to travel and need to find different kinds of trails.just download the states map before you set off and no matter where you land (and if you have no internet), you can use this map to find fun!
Use it.
I have used this app since before the pandemic. I have adventures solo with my 3 kids in new mountain bike systems to finding local scenes when traveling international to mountain bike. I love the trail descriptions to know what to expect for my diversely skilled posse and I love viewing the pictures to know how to hit scenic routes when spending limited time in new areas. I recommend this app to EVERYONE interested in outdoor recreation and new adventures in unfamiliar areas!!!
