My watchlist is very large, and I like to filter it to decide what I feel like watching. I wish the Apple TV app could have the same features as the mobile app. For example, sorting by ratings, filtering by availability on my favorite streaming services, filtering by series or movies, by date added, release date, etc.

Doesn't auto track easily
3 stars is more for the service and not so much the app. App works fine. Spent about an hour combing the forums for a way to link my streaming services to the account so it will automatically track my progress but there doesn't seem to be a transparent way of doing that for the average user/someone who doesn't want to mess with API's. I wouldn't mind having to sign in to all my streaming services through Trakt but I didn't see a way to do that and if I'm going to track and import manually I'll just stick to Google TV. Cool idea just wish it was streamlined for the average user.
Great, but missing way to import and export my shows from other platforms
I like it but I have so many shows on TV time that I would like to easily import to trakt instead manually having to import 500 shows and movies
really good
took a while to customize the interface and show all the ratings, figure out how to unwatch something (the + icon is a dropdown) but this app is far superior to imdb, I recommend uninstalling imdb so you dont habitually open it
Best App Ever
Absolutely the best app for discovering shows and movies. Website has even more and deeper search functions. Make sure to check out all the lists they are a great resource. User reviews are also generally quite good funny and helpful. If you join please follow me: hirkiti.
Great app!
It’s an excellent app for tracking your movie and TV show plays, saving them for later viewing, and discovering new titles. They also have one of the best support teams I’ve ever encountered!
“Fresh and modern appearance”
There was nothing wrong with the old logo or design.
Awful icon
Awful icon that can’t be changed. No ability to see Rotten Tomatoes audience scores. Might have to use the Watcht app for Trakt in the future.
Apple TV App and iOS App Not in Sync
SECOND UPDATE: Almost two weeks after posting details with screenshots to the Trakt forums, no one has reached out or even acknowledged my concerns.
UPDATE: I have posted details and screenshots in the Trakt forums, as requested.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
When I choose certain shows on the app on my phone, it will show the corresponding streaming service(s). When I choose the same show with the Apple TV app, it says that there are no streaming services available. Same exact show.
For example:
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon
The iOS app gives me five subscriptions to choose from. The Apple TV app says “No services”.
That’s a dealbreaker for me. If I cannot seamlessly watch stuff on my Apple TV, the app is not worth using.
