Trip.com: Book Flights, Hotels

I recently tried to use Trip.com services to book a flight from Thailand to Bali the trip was 2 to 3 months in advance. The ticket was around $800 and unfortunately I wasn’t able to take the trip because of the personal inconveniences. I asked for a refund to instead use money for troubles. They only refunded me $200 which was way under half the amount. I will never recommend this app service to any of my friends or family.

This Hotel was advertised by TRIP.COM with a picture of a ONE and ONLY beautiful pool which is one of the biggest reason why I booked it. Once the booking was confirmed I received an email, on the bottom of that email there was an important information about the hotel was going under construction. I emailed and called TRIP.COM, I was notified that the ONLY POOL will NOT be available on those dates, it was during summer in a tropical island, my family wanted to just enjoy the pool after our tours but that option was taken away. I then requested for a cancellation and for a full refund within the same day of my booking. I was promised by the representative that they will contact the Hotel of the cancellation. I've wasted more time and all I got was more LIES. They never contacted the hotel since I called them directly. The hotel said they would have cancelled it. I contacted the hotel and hotel's third party reservation service and I was told TRIP.COM never notified them of the request. PLEASE do NOT book through this site just for a small discount YOU will end ups paying for more. NOT WORTH IT DO NOT let TRIP.COM ruined your vacation. What is advertised is NOT TRUE, you will not know until it's too late

High penalty for cancelation and refund only 10% of the airfare. Hard to reach out and no customer service email available for commnunjcstion.

What You think you booked is not what you will get. DO NOT Booked it through here for a small discount is NOT WoRTH it. Used to be a good app, now they try to stuff you with completely useless non-services. A call to support for a lost luggage resulted in them asking ME to PAY for the airlines screw up. How perverse is that??!

This app is a scam… They don’t price match… They lie first then try to find something so they don’t have to price match to the cheaper price… USE CAUTION WHEN USING THESE INTERNATIONAL APPS… They just want your US Dollars!!!

Couldn’t board the flight ! The airlines told us that the flight was voided and we didn’t pay for it ! Even know I payed 3 weeks ago ! We went through the most embarrassing situation if our life ever ! We had to cancel plans And I have been on phone call and emails with them 15 hours till no (I keep counting)and still no reponse ! They even have the guts to ask me to buy another flight ! not even feeling sorry not even mentioning any compensation ! Worst service ever ! Definitely don’t have business with them !

Please, please, please change this app so it can be viewed on an iPad in Landscape mode. Most people now-a-days use their iPads as a laptop and having this app displayed only in Portrait renders it useless.

Trip.com has come a long way but still needs improvements. Sometimes I struggle to find what I am looking for, but as for the prices and available services I always go to Trip.com if I am traveling in SE Asia.
