TrueFire Guitar Lessons Reviews

Great material- laggy app

DharmasPajamas on

The content on true fire is some of the best out there for gutarists and is hands down 5 star worthy. But this app is terrible- very laggy even when the videos are fully downloaded. Have had to go back to using my laptop. A shame that such great course material is badly let down by a poor Application

Amazing Lessons. Good App

I love TrueFire and there are some amazing lessons. The phone app is ok, and the updates always help improve. The main issue is the the fact the navigation is pretty brutal - if you accidentally hit the wrong button when in the middle of a search or lesson then you end up back at the main menu and have to start over. I like the half speed option on iOS more than the desktop version, and it is very usable. Definitely recommended and the app is always getting better.

Good start now upgrade it

Pros All courses purchased on the site available on he app if you buy digital not disc only Remembers my login details Cons Hard to navigate Back takes you blank search not last search Can't use TrueFire cash No sale courses - a bit of a rip off. Stuck with Apples rip off the vendor so the consumer ultimately pays conundrum. Apple takes a high margin of all sales for the convenience of using iTunes credit. Come on guys let me use my truefire credit and give m the sales on iPad app too

They are definitely there to sell you more content. Emphasis on selling not teaching

In my opinion, this has a great deal of content and it’s also one of the more expensive app driven guitar teaching program. Before you put down your money, know that the ALL ACCESS lets you stream the lessons but you own nothing. They don’t reveal all the details until after you pay the money. Worse, even though I paid, I wasted time dodging all the additional content they wanted me to buy. So all access, seemed to open me up to another glut of advertising. The teaching is fine, but not exceptional. Definitely save your money. TrueFire could do much better.

This app works

It is a subscription but it helps me every day and I can learn at my speed and it has real instructors, it’s worth it

i feel like an idiot but i have to close the app and reopen to go back. Why doesn’t the screen edge swipe gesture work

TrueFire app is the best for guitarist of any skill level.

I have had the application for a couple of months and like it. The ability to slow the videos down to see what is being played, the many styles of music to learn and so much more.
