After Elons acquisition of Twitter, we saw the locking down of the platform. (They being tweetbot and other Twitter clients) meanwhile the Twitter app has descended into chaos. Just writing to thank the developers of tweetbot for making me forget the legit Twitter app

Undeserved death
Someone’s ego got dented and now they’ve blocked the best Twitter experience around. I’ve moved over to Mastodon (you should, too), and can’t wait to buy Ivory.
Tweetbot was the best thing about Twitter
Tweetbot has been my favourite Twitter client since the beginning and was the only reason I still used Twitter. Now that Twitter has cut off third party apps I’ll be saying goodbye to the platform, I can’t stand their app or web interface.
Thank you Tapbots for the awesome work you’ve done and for all the love put into this app over the years. I wish you all the best - looking forward to Ivory.
It's Great, But
It is great. Shame Twitter is trying to kill third party clients.
Not the app's fault
This app (and several other third-party Twitter apps) stopped working because Twitter has blocked their access to the data they need. This was done with zero warning, and two days later Twitter has given no information about it. Seems more and more likely that Twitter deliberately broke this in order to force people to view it on their own app.
This isn't a bug with the app. If you want to yell at somebody, yell at the guy who broke Twitter.
My rating is based on several years of using an earlier version of this app, but be aware that it's unlikely to be usable unless Twitter reverse their decision.
Waste of money
App is no longer connecting and the developers rarely issue updates. The native Twitter app is now a better option.
App no longer works
The app no longer works. We pay for the app but it’s disappointing to have a multi day outage
Can’t access Tweetbot after 7.2.1 🤬
Cannot access app after updating. Told to sign in to Twitter but constantly get Failed to access Twitter message. 🤷♂️ Email to Support has gone unanswered.
Terrible app
I purchased the yearly subscription and the app worked for approximately three hours before it logged me out of my account and will no longer log me back in so it doesn’t work at all. Do not purchase this app!
