Virgin Money Mobile Banking Reviews

Terrible app

Haigh Lee on

United Kingdom

Nothing ever works as is should

Bad review

Rubbish bank

Still not showing all my accounts

TheBigTelf on

United Kingdom

Still a bit of a mosh mash - ISAs and Fixed held under Clydesdale still don’t show. Trying to access them through the online is also hit or miss as the ID sign on sometimes does

Always “experiencing issues”

Dcn2025 on

United Kingdom

8/10 times I go to open this app it says “we’re having a few problems, sorry we should be up and running again soon” It happens so often that I’m actually considering moving banks to another current account, all the other aspects are fantastic but this is quite frustrating.

Awful app

Piggiesnorter on

United Kingdom

Very unreliable/ often won’t open. Have notified Virgin several times but they can never bother to reply.

Problems with mobile app on iPhone

Labundo on

United Kingdom

We all know that banking security is important, but Virgin make it very difficult with separate customer numbers, passwords, codes and telephone texts. All different for different accounts and savings. The real problem is the app is constantly not working. You can get into the credit card app and link that to your debit and savings accounts, but try getting into your debit account and 9 times out of 10 you get messages such as “sorry we are having a few problems” try again later. My other banks have apps that work reliably, every time.

WHY

Jockey Breaks on

United Kingdom

Totally dislike having to travel into Edinburgh if any problems occur in my account.

App always down

KB123_123 on

United Kingdom

I have banked with Virgin for over 8yrs and I have so many problems with this all. It is always down. I know a few other people who have the same issue. Constantly getting ‘we’re having a few problems’ message when I open it. This is really not helpful. Why can’t you create a reliable banking app?!

App is good - but not the cheque scanner

FrustratedOfFleet on

United Kingdom

You can do all the usual banking functions with the app. It works perfectly - except the cheque scanner which doesn’t work at all (and I’ve made sure the OS and app are both up to date). No problems apart from that!

FIX THE DEPOSIT CHEQUE FEATURE

JCM135 on

United Kingdom

I can do pretty much everything I need on the app apart from deposit a cheque. Most of the time now the camera tries to take a ‘portrait’ picture while the cheque is positioned as ‘landscape’. It either takes days of trying or I give up and go to a branch to pay it in.
