Needs Saved Sign-In Profiles
Our anesthesia providers must consistently select a dozen locations from a long list every time they sign into Voalte. We’ve had many instances of communication breakdown because a user hasn’t “signed on correctly”. Why not allow users to create sign-in profiles that save roles, locations, rooms, and teams and allow users to modify as needed? Having multiple saved profiles to choose between would be especially helpful for us.
Seems like a first draft of an app
So glitchy, the connection constantly drops, PLEASE CHANGE THE CARE WEB NOISE. It’s terrifying. We should be able to like messages please
Could be better
Wish I could see message previews like on Voalte One (pink app), please include Apple Watch support so I can reply to messages—especially in Isolation rooms where I can't open my phone!
Embarrassing
As healthcare worker in the field of surgery, the ability to communicate with my team in a timely manner is crucial to patient safety and successful outcomes. Hillrom should be embarrassed to offer hospitals and healthcare systems an application with inadequate servers that crashes on a weekly basis. These outages can vary, but today it has lasted over 30 minutes which is a long time if your patient is actively bleeding or not breathing, for example.
Downgrade from old paging app
I have several significant gripes about this app. 1) Regardless of what you assign the notification sound as, it always comes thru as the same obnoxious sound when you get a page, at max volume. 2) When using AirPods, regardless of your ringer volume, sound volume or the settings in the Voalte app, the notification sound from Voalte is EXTREMELY quiet. This has led to multiple missed pages at night because I sleep with my AirPods in, and I’m not hearing the notifications thru my AirPods or the handset. This happens regardless of focus / DND settings. 3) The way numbers are displayed in the pages that come through when you open them is not in standard numeric grouping for US telephone numbers, so you have to copy the numbers and then paste them into your phone app to call them back. For example, a page to 909-555-1212 would be displayed as 9 095 551 212 every time in this app. If it was just grouped appropriate lot even if all the numbers were smashed together with no spaces between them, there is a good chance the phone would recognize this is supposed to be a callback number.
Please put some work into these features. Your app has promise but these are problems I’d expect to see in a beta version, not the mass release app being used by a major hospital system.
Needs significant work
Voalte is an attempted administration driven ‘answer’ to paging. Unfortunately, what has happened, in lieu of streamlining and assisting users is a system that allows for a torrent of misdirected communication, ‘drive by’ critical result sharing (in a haphazard and non read back way), and a user interface that makes my child’s vtech toys look modern. That this app is being hastily implemented despite its clear faults shows the top down approach taken by many hospital systems today. It is likely fostered by a disconnect between the users and the engineers. The customers are administrators far removed from clinical operations who only shallowly know the workflow of those in the clinic and hospitals. This simply represents another, small misguided step taken by our healthcare system monstrosity.
Crashes all the time
App crashes anytime I try to log out for the day. Have to log out at least 5 times to get it to log me out correctly.
Missing crucial feature
Cannot add or delete users to a text conversation. Rating zero stars if possible because lack of this feature causes me to use a different app for a hospitalist who needs to communicate with APP and rotating roster of care providers

meh. another crappy chat app. nothing special, requires a lot of setup to be useful and doesn’t do anything better than free options.
Voice memos, Triage, VOIP
This app needs several modifications: (1) Voice over IP calling without forwarding to primary cell phone number. (2) Message delivery triage and silent message delivery for reduced priority messaging in high volume nocturnal environments. The sender should be able to select when the notification is delivered silently or specify first-time low priority messages delivered on the hour. Non-priority messaging should be able to delay delivery prior to shift change specified by the provider (ie 6AM). (3) Providers should be able to communicate in verbal voice memo messages that are transcribed for reference/subject for faster communication. (4) Voalte team: contact me if you would like physician consultations for a better product. I have used this application for four years.
