I love the text to speech function, but I’m swedish and the readers voice isn’t so good and also pronounce many word completely wrong, which is really strange. Also, it doesn’t make a pause when new row so it can be hard to follow along some times. Wish there was a feature to be able to correct the pronunciation and change the time between sentences.
Not bad!
After trying out different text to speech apps for reading text books, I've settled with this one. I made a test for the apps and Voice Dream was the one that correctly interpreted the highest number of abbreviations and other traps I laid for it. Although the timbre is robotic sounding, the inflection is good and generally the listening experience is noticeably better than Natural Reader. It is not as good as Speechify Premium, but when you consider that this is free, and Speechify is ridiculously expensive, this becomes a good choice!

Doesn’t work for iOS 12.2 on iPhone X
I was looking forward to a well working app for my iPhone X with iOS 12.2. Unfortunately it doesn’t work at all even though it sais on App Store that the app is compatible with iPhone. I get to the choice of language and then I can choose Voice and after that a next button should appear and it doesn’t show and the app hangs.
Writer in Sweden?
Fantastic app, but when will you make voice dream writer available in Sweden or Europe??
Best TTS app
The best text-to-speech software I have ever tried. I’m a university student and use the app for reading books and articles. It has really helped with my studies.
Mostly great
But the marked text often looses sync with the read word. The marked text jumps ahead and marks words ahead of what is being read. This happens in many different document types, so it’s definately aomething wrong in the app. Please reproduce and fix this :) thanks!
Simply the best reader app!
It does everything according to the description Perfectly! And Now It can import nice looking PDFs! It is the only app for non-DRM books you will ever need :) Best TTS-app on AppStore!
Värdelös
Sämre än iPads inbyggda text-to-speach. Funkar inte direkt på webben, utan man måste spara och sedan öppna i appen, vilket är omständigt och du får inte känslan av att läsa på t ex webben eller direkt i en pdf. Bästa hittills är ThorTalk för såväl Mac som PC, men finns tyvärr inte för iPad.
