Voice Dream FAQ
Is Voice Dream free?
Yes, Voice Dream is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Voice Dream legit?
⚠️ Warning: Multiple users of Voice Dream have mentioned scam or fraud. Investigate thoroughly before using this app.
I use this app daily for all of my PDF reading needs. The voices are super natural sounding, and it literally literally helps me so much daily. I looked for other PDF readers, and this one was better than any other one I found by far. I use it on multiple devices and love it, and literally use it every single day. Thank you to the developers! Initially bought it, and then the developers were looking into making it a subscription model, and then reversed that course. I really really appreciate them, listening to their customers and not turning this into a subscription app. Thank you!
Can’t even test it without paying.
Very odd subscription flow.
- I exited the payment process - they offered a discount, which I exited - I added a pdf and attempted to try it out & it doesn’t even play a sample.
- it instead asks, please subscribe to use.
- I then go to subscribe & it doesn’t give me a special offer.
Why would I pay for it if I can’t even test it out, at all? I don’t even know if I like it.
App no longer works
I can no longer process news articles and customer service isn’t helpful.
Don’t pay
The Kindle reader “beta” is useless. Save your 60$ and buy a Fire tablet. They are not great but way better than this buggy clunker.
They DON'T listen to their users so I encourage everyone to delete this app
6/23/24-The drama continues. This greedy Developer has removed the Edit function and made it available only as a subscription feature. If you're a legacy user who purchased this feature years ago, sorry but you're out of luck. Then the Developer had the audacity to "trick" enraged users into thinking he'd restored the Edit Feature but he didn't; it was just a ploy to fool us all. You still have to subscribe. Again, I encourage everyone to report him for TOS violation and then DROP his app. As Mentioned by Another User: Apples TOS 3.1.2(a) states the developer: "If you are changing your existing app to a subscription-based business model, you should not take away the primary functionality existing users have already paid for. For existing customers who purchased the app, click on "report and issue" and use the "fraud/scam" option to report the developer for violating the terms. "report and issue" is under the [information] section.
Amazing!
This is a life changer!
I tried a few
This is by far the best. I tried a couple of 3-day trials with reading speeds up to 300 wpm; this performed the best. Plus, it gives you access to your online Kindle library (I have yet to try, but I'll follow up with the review when I do).
One oddity I found with it is when it sees the capitalized word WHO, it treats it as an acronym. Any heading that is all capitalized, and where WHO appears, it doesn't mean the World Health Organization.
This App Is Excellent, But There Is Another Problem With the Update.
The app will not load new files after the update. Please fix.
New issue: After the update, title changes won’t stick. I just spent over thirty minutes fixing a numbering issue, only for the original numbers to immediately roll back. It’s extremely frustrating. Please fix this as soon as possible.
Greedy developer
Suddenly paid users are asked to pay subscriptions.
I say No and will remove this app forever.
Stay far away!
Old features NOT working anymore
The pronunciation dictionary no longer works. If the app is mispronouncing a word, selecting that word, tapping on the menu options that pop up until you select “pronounce“ takes you into the pronunciation dictionary, which allows you to phonetically spell out the correct pronunciation. You can still do all of this, however, when you replay the text correct pronunciation that you just saved does not play. In other words, it is a function that worked previously, but no longer works and is very likely do to this developer making changes to the app. This was a feature that worked perfectly previously, but no longer works. Inside of the pronunciation dictionary when you tap ““ to confirm that the word is being pronounced correctly, it indeed does play correctly however, when you go back to the actual text of your document and hit play the same old mispronunciation is present.
