Yono Lite SBI is Mobile Banking Smart Phone application for SBI Customers in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Odia, Assamese, and Kashmiri languages.
Yono Lite is SBI’s retail internet banking-based application for your smartphones. A safe, convenient, and easy to use application with a host of features to help users manage your finances on the move.
Please complete the one-time registration process to start using the application.
New Registration process:
- A message will be shown on the screen regarding initiating an SMS to +917208871299 from the mobile device for validating user's mobile number. Users has to send this app generated encrypted SMS manually. Users have an option to retry sending SMS to an alternate number 8422833333.
- Click on ‘Proceed’ button and an SMS containing a unique code will be sent from the device to a predefined number. Kindly note that for sending SMS will incur standard SMS charges as per your telecom SMS plan.
- On registration screen, please enter Username and Password and click REGISTER button.
- Accept the Terms & Conditions for registration by selecting the check box and click ‘Ok’ button.
- An activation code will be sent to the registered mobile number. User has to complete the activation by inputting the Activation code in the app.
- User can now login to Yono Lite application.

Useless for NRIs
Registration with SIM binding is obviously a joke from a joke bank. Based on the comments posted it clearly doesn’t work for a subset of your customers. So what does SBI do? Nothing, except ask people to send screenshots to an email address. Having done that I can inform you that the people one the end of the email address are equally clueless. Apparently the texts I send for registration to both numbers never arrived. Instead of investigating it further with the banks service providers, it’s my problem to figure it out! Well I have found a solution, move my money to a bank that actually solves issues and has an app that works. Bye bye SBI!
Virtual debit card
Trying to request for virtual debit card from last 4weeks but still can’t request error shows “technical error” also tried on sbi website as requested by NRI Branch Ahmedabad but don’t work.
Application unable to register
I have again issues with application it show to register when I am trying to register it shows failed try with a registered number.before it’s working well .now it’s ?
Worst app and support
This app was working on my uk mobile since 2023nov. I changed to iphone15 and the app stopped working. The bank is clueless
YONO light
After changing my mobile trying hard to get YONO light activated. Spent a fortune on sending text messages but still no luck
It has never worked
It was ok for some time. But stopped working. Asking to re-register and it does not go any further. Not good for anyone , especially for NRIs.
Keep wasting money on sending texts for re-registering. I complained to the customer services, but instead of accepting the issue and resolving it, they are asking me to contact Branch and Nodal officer…. Going in circles. Absolutely disappointed .
Registering problem
I’m an Uk based user the app use to work before now it just does not get passed the registration process
Annoying
I am trying to set up a current account and it keeps saying my time limit has ran out even though i am not taking that long. I have tried soo many times that i have ended up memorising all my details by heart. Showing the number of attempts i have made to try open an account. I GIVE UP !
Worst banking app experience ever!
Unable to register for months, keeps saying please try again later. Contacted customer service who advised to use the website instead which I’m wondering as to why this app exists in the first place if we’re to use the website. Branch is also completely useless as they’re unable to help with anything at all and even the simplest questions they do know about how to proceed! It’s just utter waste of time with SBI overall!
